(4): the blame game

Day 4, I prevented a murder by complete accident, what the fuck...

*Knock knock* "Y/N" kyoko said.

I opened the door immediately.

"Are you ready?" She asked

"Yeah, I think so" I said with a small smile.

She smiled back at me and we walked to the cafeteria together, I'm still nervous but it's okay. We walked into the cafeteria together and sayaka looked at us. Everyone was already sat at the tables.

"Y/N I'm so glad you're giving this another chance-" Taka was cut off my kyoko slamming the note in front of him.

"Y/N and Hina found that one of the kitchen knives were missing, Y/N also noticed that makoto's and sayaka's name plates were switched, she switched them back once she noticed, then she found this note" kyoko said assertively.

Taka picked up the note and sayaka unsuccessfully tried to grab it from his hands.

"... Sayaka you know the rule, why did you try to get Leon to your room last night?" Taka asked.

"I- i- i-" sayaka stuttered.

"I- me and Y/N believe she was trying to kill Leon and frame makoto" kyoko said.

"Is that why you asked to switch rooms?!" Makoto asked sayaka.

"Is that why you took the knife sayaka? It wasn't for self defense?" Hina asked with hurt in her eyes.

Sayaka looked at me and tried lunging for me, I stumbled back but kyoko grabbed my arm and hoisted me back to my feet. Sayaka was being held back by Sakura and Mondo.

"You bitch! Your bad luck ruins everything! I just wanted out!!" Sayaka shouted at me, trying to break free from Sakura and Mondo.

"She saved you and Leon both, we would've found out because of the note" Celeste said.

"Save me?! How?!" Sayaka yelled.

"Well like there's a trial, if we discover the blackened they'll be like punished and we still don't get to like leave" junko said.

"Sssssshhhhhhheeeeeessss right!" Monokuma appeared.

"So... I would've kill Leon for nothing?" Sayaka asked, a crazed look in her eye.

"Well if you were caught, yes! Which you totally would've been!" Monokuma laughed.

Just like that, the bear was gone again. Sayaka started crying and she apologized to Leon and me. Leon wanted to talk to me outside the cafeteria.

"How'd you know?" He asked.

"Know what?" I asked.

"How'd you know about the note?" He asked.

"I was taking a plate back to the kitchen to wash it, I was in a rush because it was right before nighttime and it just happened to get stuck to my foot when I ran by your door" I explained while shrugging.

"That seems pretty lucky" he said.

" Maybe my bad luck makes my surroundings lucky by default" I joked.

"Thank you Y/N" Leon suddenly hugged me.

"..For what?" I hesitantly hugged him back.

"Saving me of course, I would've been dead without you" he said with a smile.

I smiled back and he let me go, we went back in to eat breakfast. But I found yasuhiro on his hands and knees bowing in front of me.

"I'm so sorry for misjudging you omen of bad luck! I'll never do it again!" Yasuhiro said in a whiney voice.
