(24): closer to paradise

We will arrive on jabberwocks shore in a few days, it was getting warmer as we approached. It wasn't heavily snowing anymore, just a light flurry. The remnants were allowed to go anywhere as long as they were supervised. I was assigned Gundham today, he was happy to give his hamsters fresh air. Or he liked to call them his dark devas of destruction. We were out looking over the sea from the railing on the boat.

"Madam Y/N, do you believe the reformation will work?" Gundham asked.

"I'm certainly confident about it, Chihiro knows what he's doing" I smiled. "I can't say for sure though, I can't predict the future" I shrugged.

Jum-P crawled into my fluffy jacket pocket, he squeaked and the other join him inside the deep pocket.

"They like you" gundham said.

"I think they like my warmth" I giggled.

"No, they can tell when you're naturally good at heart. Like with Sonia, Chihiro... The kids too" he said.

"Chiaki as well?" I asked.

"Mhm" Gundham hummed closing his eyes and dropping his head slightly.

"She sounded absolutely lovely, I'm sorry for your loss... All of your guy's loss" I said sympathetically.

"She helped bring us together, a true angel in disguise" he said opening his eyes again.

"Y/N!" Kotoko ran up to me in her bulky, light pink, snowsuit.

As she was running towards me, she slipped on the icey metal ground and slid towards me. She crashed into my legs, but I was holding onto the railing stop I just stopped her from sliding towards me. She stood up and held onto my arm to stable herself.

"Where are the devas?" Kotoko asked excitedly.

Maga-Z poked his head out of my pocket and squeaked.

"They're in my pocket, but you should ask Mr.Gundham if you can play with them" I said gesturing to Gundham.

"Mr.Gundham can I please please please please play with the devas of destruction? I promise I'll be careful with them" Kotoko pleaded.

"Yes you may" Gundham agreed.

The devas came out of my pocket one by one and hopped into Kotoko's snow suit. Kotoko slowly and carefully walked up to the door leading inside and went in.

"Have you figured out what you're going to do with them once we get to the island?" Gundham asked.

"They're staying with me, they'll have sessions with the ultimate therapist to work through their trauma, and I'll be responsible for them until they choose to either go back to Towa city or find a mentor to build their talents" I said. "I feel responsible for them, so I'll care for them the best of my ability"

"You'll do great, your kind at heart and mind... They need someone like that" Gundham responded. "Madam Y/N?" Gundham said.

"Yes?" I asked looking at him.

"Will you be there when we get out of the simulation?" He asked.

"If I have any say in the matter, yeah, I will be" I said. "I'll we watching over the simulation with Byakuya"

"Oh? Are you two talking about me?" Byakuya walked up, the ultimate imposter with him.

"I was explaining to Gundham that I'll be in the simulation room the majority of the time" I said smiling at Byakuya.

"Ah okay then" Byakuya said. "Do you happen to know where Chihiro is?" He then asked.

"He should be with Mikan, so most likely in the infirmary" I said. "For the ultimate nurse, she gets hurt quite a lot" I shook my head.

"I see, well I need some changes made to the character design in the simulation" Byakuya said. "Imposter here has decided to impersonate me, so he needs the customization to do so" Byakuya explained.

"Then you're looking for Hifumi, he's making the models for everyone. He's in his room" I said.

We finished our conversation and they left to find Hifumi.

"Man it's getting kinda warm out here" I sighed taking off my jacket.

"It's stopped snowing Madam Y/N, we are close to the island" Gundam said.

"Closer to seeing hiyoko as a shorty again" I giggled.

"She'll revert back to her evil spirit" Gundham hummed. "Wicked... Wicked little creature"

"It builds character to get bullied" I said.

"You've been bullied and mistreated your whole life" Gundham said blankly.

"Shush" I huffed. "I turned out great" I pointed finger guns at him.

"I can't wait to be in the simulation" Gundham said shaking his head.

"What's that supposed to mean?!" I whined.
