as soon as i got up to the house i walked in and went straight to jeremiah's bedroom to collect my things. of course he was still sleeping so once i gathered everything, i headed into belly's room. i got ready in there and did my everyday makeup look and borrowed some of her clothes since i was still in my pjs.

i saw her deb invite on her nightstand and realized we hadn't talked about it yet. so i decided to text her.
e: bells meet me in your room when you get back i want to chat abt the ball!!
she liked the message and i just awaited her return. i could hear that everyone was awake now downstairs.

i thought i heard belly and surely enough she appeared quickly in her room. "what are you thinking about the ball?" i asked as she sat down on her bed next to me. "i'm not sure i mean i want to do it to prove the boys and my mom that we can be debs, but im not sure if it's really my thing." "then i say let's do it and even if it's not our thing we will be doing it together. just think how much we will get to hang out this summer!" i said excited. and just like that we both marked on our invitations that we would be attending.

we both hurried down the stairs to see all the boys and moms. steven and jere were getting ready for work and conrad was hungover as ever on the couch. "belly is that a bruise?" laurel asked and belly just said she bumped into someone. jeremiah poured the three of us some cereal.

"susannah we have some news," i announced as she hurried around the kitchen. "belly and i are going to be deb's," i finished as belly handed her the invites. "ahh what great news!" she exclaimed. and immediately the boys started to make fun of us again.

susannah started putting together a list and figuring out where all we would go shopping today for all the outfits we would need. laurel expressed her concerns and i could tell she didn't want us to do it, "this just doesn't seem like you guys." "it's not," conrad said harshly from the other room. i really didn't get him, this morning he was asking to get muffins and now he's pissed off about belly and i becoming debs this year.

susannah ignored him and started talking about who we would take and belly and i agreed we would find our own dates. conrad stormed out to go swim. i watched as he got into the pool by himself.

once we finished breakfast, susannah was quick to get us all to go shopping. we went all through the town of cousins and found so many cute outfits. i loved dressing up and i honestly didn't need many new outfits, the shopping was mostly for belly.

we had such a blast trying on dresses. we finally got to the store that had all the white dresses for the night of the ball. we tried on so many. belly went with a nice strapless dress that was insanely fancy. i chose an elegant and tight dress with some nice glitter accents. i noticed belly kept her eyes on a much simpler dress but susannah liked the other one, so that's what she chose.

i went back to my house after shopping and changed into my bikini and went back over to the fisher house. i also brought my clothes for belly to go through. i walked into her room and set the bag down and then we were off to the beach. conrad had just finished surfing and when we passed each other, he wouldn't even look at us.

after a quick swim, it was time to get ready for the first deb event, tea. i could tell belly was nervous because she didn't know the other girls, so i sat there telling her about each one i knew. she wore a cute checkered dress and i wore one with flowers. i did her makeup and when she looked in the mirror she was so excited. "man elle you always do such a good job! and you can't even see my black eye, where did you learn to do makeup like this?" she asked. "i have quite a bit of experience," is all i said back and she gave me an odd look.

laurel was nice enough to drop both of us off at the country club. she emphasized that we didn't have to do this and she would pick us up at any time, but he assured her we would be ok. we walked hand in hand to the club.
