Giyuu's POV -
I run through the forest, heading to the meeting. Unfortunately Kanzaburo always sends his messages late, so I make sure I don't end up later than usual.
I reach the meeting, and I see Shinobu. She's standing and waving at me.
"Ara, Ara!~ Tomioka-San, you're late again!" I hear someone scoff, "He's always late, and he's the master's favorite which is why he hasn't been kicked out yet." Sanemi growls.
I hate when they talk about Oykata-sama like that, honestly he understands I'm late because of Kanzaburo who delivers things later than usual.
I hear the argue and bicker back and forth, it's not worth my damn time anyways. It's like a pair of squabbling children.
"The master has arrived."
Everyone kneels down, watching as the master comes out with his usual smile. "HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL MASTER!" Rengoku yells, he can't help it after all.
It hurts my ears.
"Then the feeling is mutual my children. Shinobu and Mitsuri, how did your mission go?" "It went well Oyakata-Sama!" Mitsuri called out.
"That's great to hear. All of you know that there's been a huge spike in demon population lately, so I have decided to promote another Hashira."
Sanemi can't hold back his frustration.
"It better not be that Kamado boy." He complains, which gets ignored by the master and everyone else, not many people share his hatred for Tanjiro.
I think it could be him though, he's met a lot of upper ranks.
"Please, I hope you all treat your new comrade well. Please meet your second water pillar, Sabito Urokodaki."
Did I fucking hear that right?
I see a guy as tall as me walk out, with a white haori just a plain white one with edges of blue on the bottom.
As mask dangles down, but you can see his face with lavender eyes and a scar by his cheek. He has salmon colored hair, all ruffled up. His expression is soft, but when he speaks his tone is serious.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all, as you know I'm Sabito Urokodaki."
I feel this burning sensation of anger, how could he just leave me and just show up as a fucking Hashira? No contact what so ever the past eight years and he just poofs right back? That's messed up, and I can't help but feel frustrated.
I stare at him, making sure he can't see my wrists so he'll have to wait to see if I kept the promises.
"Now, I hope it is fine the two current water pillars will share the water estate." I nod my head, I'd be fine with that. I don't know how long I can keep my frustration in though, it's getting to me quickly.
"Now children, I will be sending missions later tomorrow and today. Please take these few hours to rest up and enjoy yourselves for the time being. You are dismissed."
We wait until Oyakata-sama leaves until we start talking again. I on the other hand get up, but I get stopped by someone yanking me on the shoulder.
"OI! Asshole, come say hello to your new pillar. I know he's going to do a better job than you already!" I sigh, do I really want to say hello to Sabito again?
