—— THE NEXT DAY, Rose stood in front of the Salvatore's and Elena as she explained all she knew about Klaus and the sun and the moon curse ( which in turn wasn't much ) .
"Okay, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years and I don't know what's true and what's not true," Rose warned the small group, knowing all her information had the possibility of being completely false, "It's the problem with all this vampire crap but Klaus, I know he's real."
Elena leaned forward in her position on the leather couch, "Who is he?" She questioned the pixie-cut vampire.
Damon had his hands crossed over his chest, "He's one of the originals, he's a legend." He mentioned, having doubts that this 'Klaus' guy was even real, and having an even harder time trusting the woman who tried to sell out Elena.
"From the first generation of vampires." Stefan clarified it for Elena, whose confusion was written all over her face.
Elena looked between all the vampires around the room, "Like Elijah?" She asked.
Rose shook her head, "No," she immediately denied, "Elijah was the Easter bunny compared to Klaus. He's the foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal." Many would agree with Rose, except for the originals themselves—well, Klaus would agree with her, he probably liked that people thought of Elijah as his foot solider.
"Klaus is known to be the oldest." Stefan mentioned, his small amount of knowledge on the subject was just that—small.
Elena nodded, her eyes narrowed, "Okay, so you're saying that the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after me?"
Rose nodded, "Yes."
"No." Stefan shook his head, denying the obvious answer to keep Elena from spiralling out of nerves and do something stupid.
Something she always does in a time of high emotion.
Damon cleared his throat, he wanted to keep Elena's sanity intact, and he wanted to keep her safe, but they couldn't keep her entirely in the dark, "What they're saying is, I mean if what she's saying is true..."
"Which it is." Rose cut in.
Damon turned his head toward the older vampire, his ice blue eyes narrowed, "And you're not saying it so I don't kill you."
