Bay's room reminds me of a stereotypical nine year old. The walls are painted with a dark blue, and there's tons of wooden shelves stacked against them. On top of his dresser holds his pet turtle, whom he named Sir Nicholas. Lava lamps sit on both of his nightstands, and they go well with his rocket-themed bedding. It's obvious that he's embarrassed by it, but I find it amusing. He's a kid at heart, and that brings me joy.
We lay on the bed together, staring at the ceiling. I totally crushed him at DDR, but he refuses to admit it.
Right now Bay's going through the denial stage, but it'll wear off soon and then he'll be back to normal."So how's the wedding situation?" I ask.
"Well, they're planning and picking guests. Apparently I can bring a plus one, so that's a plus. I found it a bit odd though, bringing a date to your sisters wedding."
"Are you going to bring someone?"
He shrugs. "I've never really thought about it. I know your family is invited, so I guess that's all I was concerned about."
"What about Hans? You could ask her."
"Her family is also receiving an invitation."
"Then you shouldn't worry about a date. Even if you do want one, it doesn't have to be a girl. Hell, you could invite Derek if you're needing someone."
"You have a point there." Bay flips through a few DVDs. Fortunately, there's found nothing good to watch.
Defeat dances on his shoulders. Then, he lights up. "We can go hang out in the forest, if you'd like."
I smile. "I'd love to."

Derek is waiting for us when we reach the center of the forest. He smirks. "I see you've taken my place on Bay's couch."
I place a hand on my hip. "I'm actually sleeping in Taylor's room."
"Ah, then that's even better." He grins and ruffles his hair. Derek's constantly dying his hair different colors, and this week it's a soft lavender. If I'm being honest, it well with the green in his eyes. "Have you been pranked yet?"
"Pranked?"
His eyes widen as he turns to Bay. "You haven't pranked her? What's the matter with you?"
Bay backs up a few steps. "I didn't know what to do! You know how July is, she'll probably kick my butt if she found something!"
"He's got a point there." I say.
"Oh don't worry," Derek smirks. "It'll arrive. Eventually."
"I'll be ready for it."
Bay whips around and stares at me, surprised. Impressed, even.
"Then you'll make the first move." He says.
