I brush the sticky hair off my forehead and keep running. Breathe in breathe out, same old same old. Except now it's starting to get old. I'm panting and struggling for air, but franticly running along the narrowing pathway through the tangle of trees. Branches scrape at my face and upper body while tree roots and such hack at my feet making me trip up. Luckily I have the ability to catch myself before I land face first on the ground. Upon hearing more of the tinkling fair lore in the distance I try to pick up my pace, but it's nearly impossible. With all the trees I can't see beyond 3 or 4 inches in front of my face. Slipping in a patch of wet snow I skid down the small decline of a hill and into a massive swamp below. Ouch. Major ouch. I lay there in the sticky bubbly substance feeling nothing but homesickness. Wishing to be home seemed to get Dorothy home so why shouldn't it me? Shaking my head I start to get up, lifting my arms above the goby liquid then brushing off some debrea while lifting my legs up to inspect them. I make my way over to the edge of the swamp and walk unsteadily up it trying not to slip back into its goopy grip. My left foot is stuck in the swamp refusing to come out. I pull ar my leg and quickly look around as it gives a swoop, letting my leg go but taking my black flat with it. Sighing I brush off my swamp caked clock and start out again into the woods.

I must be quite the sight. With my swamp drenched clothes, soggy hair and one shoe missing I'd make quite an impression in the ice palace with its many fine dresses and glassy walls. I shudder from the memory. Just then do I let my mind wander to Swan and the mysterious prince. While in Swan's safe house and in her presence I had felt secure and the same feeling had come with her brother. It doesn't take an idiot to figure it out, I knew they were brother and sister, the hair and posture had given it away. Judging by the way his eyes softened when he saw Swan I think he could become like her, he could become a savior.

A rustle in the trees ahead brought me back to reality. In an instant I jumped to my feet and got ready to run at any attempt of the guards. I was not expecting what happened next. Out of the bush came none other that the prince himself.
"Gotcha!" He said.
I of coarse screamed in reply.
"Sorry, sorry I didn't mean to startle you I just wanted to see if you were okay, so I kinda followed you." He murmured, his cheeks flushed pink. It was actually a good look on him, he looked cute.
"Wait so are you on my side or the ice queen's?" I said sounding suspicious.
"For that matter I'm not sure."
"But, that doesn't mean I'm really on one team can't I just help out both?" He said looking meaningful after seeing my panicked face.
"Ookkkkaaaaayyyy" I extended out.
"I got it!" he shouted almost immediately after I said that.
"Got what?"
"I know where I recognized you from, we used to have lunch and play when we were little up by the Oniminus lake!" " I knew it, I knew I remembered you from somewhere!" He announced with an exited tone.
"Wait what?"
"Yah, we were best friends and we used to do everything together along with Swan!" He sit his tone darkening a little with the mention of his sisters name.
"Why do you dislike her so much?" I blurt out still debating wether or not he was safe to be around or wether he would just drag me back to the ice queen's clutches.
"Swan?" He asks.
"Yah, she's never done anything to you I mean not that I would know, has she?" I reply.
"Yes actually there is one reason actually."
"Really what is it?"
"I really don't feel like talking about it right know." He answered in a harsh voice.
"Got it." I started to back way again because really how could I be sure that he wasn't going to capture me and drag me back to the ice palace? You can never be to cautious about that stuff.
"Wait?!" He said taking a step forward every time I took one back. My steps become larger and I'm ready to make a move the whole time. He tried to grab at my cloaked arm and that's when I took off. Feeling my shoe slip from under me I looked down and sure enough I had to bare feet under my dark dress. I didn't look back to see if he was chasing after me, I just ran. Zig zagging through the forest I felt my cloak flying out from behind and the sharp pokes of twigs under my feet.
