Junhui sat on his bed, lost in thought. The previous night’s date replayed in his mind like a cherished film. He could still feel the warmth of The8’s hug, the sensation causing him to blush involuntarily. He hugged his pillow tightly, trying to temper the flurry of emotions that had overwhelmed him.

The next day, Junhui was in for another surprise. He was scheduled to meet The8 for lunch, and as he walked toward their usual spot, he saw The8 standing there, looking breathtakingly beautiful. The8’s long black hair cascaded over his shoulders, glistening under the sunlight. The nose ring added a touch of edginess to his delicate features, contrasting beautifully with his soft, almond-shaped eyes. He wore the signature crop top – a casual hoodie that stopped just above his waist, a style that Junhui distinctly remembered from their first meeting.

Junhui felt his breath hitch. How could someone look so effortlessly stunning? He was about to call out to The8 when he noticed a young boy standing next to him, holding his hand. The boy looked to be about sixteen, with a mischievous glint in his eyes and a grin that suggested he was up to something.

Junhui approached them, a curious smile on his face. Before he could say anything, the boy beat him to it.

“So, you’re my brother’s husband?” he asked, his tone dripping with sass. He gave Junhui a once-over, his grin widening.

Junhui and The8 both looked taken aback. They glanced at each other, then back at the boy, and in unison, they exclaimed, “No!”

The boy laughed, clearly enjoying their reaction. “I’m Seungkwan, by the way,” he said, extending his hand toward Junhui. Junhui shook it, still slightly bewildered.

The8, now recovered from the shock, scowled at Seungkwan. “Seungkwan, don’t tease him like that,” he admonished, though there was a hint of fondness in his voice.

Junhui chuckled, the initial awkwardness melting away. “Nice to meet you, Seungkwan,” he said. “I didn’t know The8 had such a cheeky brother.”

Seungkwan’s eyes sparkled with mischief. “Oh, there’s a lot you don’t know,” he said cryptically. He then noticed the small puppy in Junhui’s hands. His eyes lit up as he reached out to pet it.

“Hey, be careful with that,” The8 interjected, his tone more stern this time. “You know I don’t like dogs.”

Seungkwan shrugged, clearly unfazed by his brother’s warning. “It’s just a puppy,” he said, gently taking the puppy from Junhui’s hands. The puppy wagged its tail happily, clearly enjoying the attention.

“Seungkwan,” The8 started, a warning note in his voice, but Seungkwan was already walking away, cradling the puppy and murmuring softly to it.

Junhui watched him go, then turned to The8 with a smile. “Your brother’s quite a character,” he said.

The8 sighed, running a hand through his hair. “You have no idea,” he replied, but there was a soft smile on his lips. He looked at Junhui, his expression thoughtful. “Thanks for being understanding. He can be a handful sometimes.”

Junhui waved it off. “I don’t mind,” he said. “Actually, it’s kind of nice to see this side of you. Makes you more… real.”

The8’s smile widened. “I’m glad you think so,” he said. “Now, how about we get that lunch? I’m starving.”

Junhui laughed, the tension from the earlier exchange completely dissipated. As they walked together toward their favorite café, Junhui couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment. Despite the unexpected encounter with Seungkwan, or maybe because of it, he felt even closer to The8. And as they chatted and laughed over lunch, he realized that this was exactly where he wanted to be.
