The Dark Night

Part - 11

It had been 4 days since Ashley and Andrew left and today was the day when they should've returned, I tried calling Ashley but she didn't pick up my phone and I was so worried for her. 

2 days passed and yet there was no information about Ashley. I started to get worried  and 4 more days passed by and it had been 10 days since Ashley was gone and I couldn't wait more so I decided to go tell Ashley's parents everything.

I opened my front door and there I was Ashley, she was in a misreable state the state I never saw her before. She semmed very weak as if she hasn't been eating for days.

Harper : "Ashley? Oh my god Ashley where were you? why didn't you answer any of my call? you                     look so weak? Have you eaten anything?"

Ashley : "Harper I'm pregnant."

Harper : "WHAT? what did you say?"

Ashley : "I'm 2 weeks pregnant Harper."

Harper : "Was it Andrew?"

Ashley : "No it was your dad, ofcourse it was Andrew what kind of question is that?"

Harper : "Did you told Andrew that you're pregnant?"

Ashley : "Yes, I told him and said he won't keep the baby."

Harper : "Do you know where Andrew is now?"

Ashley : "No, he just left me in the airport and ran away."

Harper : "Ashley you're just 18 you had your whole life infront of you."

Just then something falls, I look behind and see my mom standing. She heard our whole converstation and seemed worried.

Mom : "Ashley, you should have been more careful letme call your parents."

Ashley : "NO please don't call them. I'll tell them everything myself slowly but if I tell them now                       they will kick me out of the house, till then can I please stay here for somedays?"

Mom : "Sure, get in."

It was pretty late when Ashley arrived so we had our dinner. After dinner I take Ashley to my room and tell her to sleep. "Goodnight Ashley, I'll be back after cleaning the dishes." I tell her and she replies "Goodnight Harper."

I go to the kitchen downstairs and mom is sitting in the dining table and she gestures me to sit beside her. I sit on the chair.

Mom : "Harper, I told you to stay away from Ashley she is not a good influence. She did                                      something that can change her whole life, how can she take care of a child when she is a                  child herself?"

Harper : "Mom she already did the mistake."

Mom : "And to cover the mistake we should call her parents."

Harper : "But mom she told us to not call her parents."

Mom : "God knows how long she will stay here and we're not that rich to feed another person."

Harper : "Its true but-"

Mom : "No buts, go bring your phone and give me the number."

I nod and go to my room and I see that Ashley wasn't asleep she was drinking water I smile at her and take the phone from and desk and go down the kitchen

Harper : "Here."

Mom : "Its already 10pm and its late we should call them tomorrow."

Harper : "Alright goodnight mom."

Mom : "Goodnight sweetheart."
