Eating at the burger joint

"Ah, that's my shirt!" Steven shouted through the burger joint, as he stood up from a bench against a wall behind a table with a big smile.

Some people looked at him, clearly wondering why the man was screaming so loud. They followed his gaze to Bobo, who followed Maverick through the restaurant, pretending not to be stared at. After a year in Europe, he still did not feel comfortable being the only colored person among white people. He looked at Steven with a fake, broad smile and nodded once.

"Be normal, man!" said Erik, who was so shocked by his tablemate next to him, he had spilled coke on his pants.
"It's just a shirt."

"Well, I really like this," Steven said when Maverick and Bobo had taken their seats across from him.
"I thought you didn't appreciate the joke and threw it away. It's cool that you're wearing it now.'

"And it looks good on you too," Erik added.

"Guys, I'm hungry," Steven said before Bobo could respond.
He took the brightly colored menu that was on the table in front of Erik and started going through it, as if it was his first time he ate at this burger joint. From the other side, Bobo eagerly looked at the photos of the burgers and side dishes. His mouth watered at the thought of his favorite burger. Or would he go for a different one this time? Or would he order his favorite burger and another?

"I'll pay," Steven said suddenly, after he had made his choice and given the menu to Erik.
"I'm in a good mood today, so take advantage of it."

The others looked at him in surprise. Steven was normally not a generous giver. It turned out that his cheerful mood had nothing to do with the shirt Bobo was wearing, but with a million-dollar deal he had managed to make yesterday and the associated commission. Erik and Maverick quickly made their choice. Especially now that they knew Steven would pay, they had opted for a more expensive version of the hamburger they normally chose. Bobo was still deciding between his favorite hamburger or another one. He thought both were rude to Steven, but Maverick urged him to have two burgers. After all, he didn't have to pay for the change.

"Just get three," Steven said suddenly, annoyed by Bobo's indecisiveness and therefore having to wait longer for his food.

Bobo looked at him questioningly. Did he mean that?

"Yes, get three," Erik said enthusiastically.

Maverick followed suit and urged Bobo to order three burgers and some sides.

Three burgers and side dishes? Bobo reeled at the thoughts. All those goodies, just for him. He hurriedly looked at the menu again, when Steven indicated that if he didn't make a choice quickly, he would do it for him and when the waiter came, Bobo quickly gave his order.

The boys looked curiously at the three large plates in front of Bobo, as if they were all thinking the same thing; is he going to eat it all? To save space, some smaller bowls with ordered side dishes such as extra fries, chicken wings and spicy cheese balls were placed on the plates. It just barely fit on the table. Bobo didn't give the boys much attention. His thoughts were on hamburgers, all of which looked delicious. While Maverick, Erik and Steven took their knife and fork, Bobo grabbed the first hamburger in his big hands and took a big bite out of it. What a party! Only after he had eaten half of the hamburger, alternating it with chicken wings and cheese balls, did the others start eating and the usual conversations about business deals, women and vacations started. Every now and then they watched from the corner of their eyes as Bobo feasted on all the food. The first plate was empty again. Even the fries and garnishes had disappeared into his stomach.

"I'm going to film this," Maverick said suddenly, taking out his phone.

Bobo looked up, startled. Was it so special that he ate hamburgers? With a chicken wing half sticking out of his mouth because his cheeks were too full of hamburger and fries to fit in completely, he looked at Maverick. His phone was almost shoved in his face and the boys laughed.

'Look at that man. Can you push it in even more?' Steven asked.

Bobo swallowed the lump of food in his mouth with difficulty and pushed the chicken wing down. He smiled. This was so delicious that it demanded to be eaten quickly. The boys had finished their plates when Bobo started on the third burger. Most of the bowls were also empty and the waiter had already removed them to create space on the table. Bobo sighed. He was actually already full and had unseen unbuttoned a few buttons on his pants.

"You'll eat it," said Steven, who had noticed that Bobo had already reached his limit.
"I don't mind paying, but I do think it's a shame to throw that hamburger in the trash."

"Come on Bobo," Maverick chimed in.

With his phone he zoomed in on the hamburger, then on Bobo's sweaty face and then on his swollen belly that was clearly visible even through the large shirt he was wearing.

"You're not a sissy, are you?"

"Do I look like I'm not going to eat it?" replied Bobo, who was still looking forward to the hamburger despite the pressure in his stomach.

He took the burger from the plate with one hand and took a bite.

"Oh, wonderful..." he thought.

As his stomach protested, there was only one thought in his mind; more!
He greedily ate the hamburger, the fries and the garnish.

While the boys cheered him on, Bobo continued to eat until he swallowed the last bite. Panting slightly from exertion, he leaned back and gently rubbed his stomach. It felt like it was filled with cement, inside and out. The large shirt was tight around his waist. The others ordered another drink. Bobo skipped for fear that his stomach would burst after just one sip. He had eaten too well and was uncomfortably full. Even breathing became difficult because his stomach pressed against his lungs and he was happy when it was decided to go home. Not only the boys, but also others stared at him as he passed by. He looked pregnant with triplets. Steven made a sick comment about it, Erik supported him and Maverick had taken out his phone again to film Bobo struggling to get to the car.
