She stood in front of her full length mirror, surveying her outfit she was clad in a creme satin dress that accentuated her curves, its soft material brushing against her skin.
She didn't like it, it felt too.........everything, she sighed, her mom had picked it personally for her and she couldn't say no.
She picked up a black veil and tied it around her head in a simple turban, she then slipped her feet into a black faux heel with pearl ankle strap.
She stared at herself in the mirror before picking up her kwalli and applying it on both eyes, she didn't like eyeliner that much, she lined her plump pink lips with a light brown lip liner and added a touch of pink lipgloss to add a pop of colour and gloss, she put on a pearl necklace and earring, with black beaded bracelet
That was it, she grabbed her coquette shoulder bag and her phone, snapping a few pics to send to her friends.
''gani na zo'' (i'm here now) Asma screamed as she burst into the room, Asma was laila's bestfriend, she was accompanying her to the wedding as one of the bridesmaids as well.
She was clad in a satin creme gown the only diffrence was that hers had a leg-of-mutton sleeve, the dress complimented her light makeup which went seamlessly with her yellowish skintone.
''karya mun kofa kinji.'' (break my door)laila said getting up from her sitting position on the bed.
''eh eh naji, i met mamy on my way upstairs, she said she can't wait for you anymore so she left with baba.....omo you understood the assignment, my girl you look.....damnn''(yes, i've heard) asma said looking laila up and down.
''thank you, you too'' she said her cheeks red against her pale skin.
''muje ko''(shall we). Asma nodded as they made their way out not before laila grabbed her glasses of the counter and putting it on as she stay without it for too longThey made their way downstairs and into the car and off they went.
♡♡♡
She stepped out of the car, silently giving the driver instructions on what time he should come back before turning the other way to the entrance of the building, where she met two female securities.
She was met with a wedding arbour decorated with cala lilies and another arch that had a curtain draped across it, tables filled the remainder of space on both sides of the venue, two couches were displayed at the very end of the hall for the couples.
The spotlight and colours of the venue was made to match its serene environment, black, a crystal beaded chandelier stood mounted at the top, illuminating the room in blue lights.
