/CHAPTER 4: Episode 1 - Staircases, III/
「Kim Dokja's life has been a life of immeasurable shame.」
He was essentially orphaned at the age of 10. His mother had killed his father, with him as the only witness. His uncle and his wife took him in, and practically made him their slave. To top it all off, his mother wrote a novel about their life. It became a bestselling hit, and his personal life is compromised.
Then, people bullied him for it in school. Son of a murderer, they called him. Everyone knew the horrors he faced, and they ridiculed him for it. Disgust, agonizing looks of disgust.
Reading is his only solace. He read as he quietly suffered the abuse of his father and his relatives, as people read about his mother's murder, and as he slowly died inside.
It was too much for a mere 15 year old.
So he jumped.
"I forgot, we haven't formally introduced ourselves yet! I don't even know your name..." The amnesiac Yun Daehyun's over-the-top mannerisms never fails to amuse Kim Dokja. He wondered if this Yun Daehyun is even remotely similar to the actual Yun Daehyun.
Yun Daehyun, as far as Kim Dokja is concerned, is an introverted person he never even shared a singular interaction with. Just like an extra in a life of an extra.
