/CHAPTER 12: Episode 4 - Starting the Official Publication, II/
A sentence popped into Dokja's mind, and he frankly had no idea why.
「 Dokkaebi. The first time he appeared, someone said so. 」
The subway always gave him nostalgia, even when it appeared every night in his dreams and it was a part of his daily routine. But it's current state, the lights out and that robotic voice, gave him some sort of deja vu. The first sentences in a novel he's read all those years, each and every letter resounded in his mind.
But he found it ridiculous, because it would be impossible.
'Nothing's impossible, really. If you dream hard enough...'
His friend had once said these words when they were discussing a chapter.
And perhaps, he might be right.
At that moment, the door of car 3807 opened wide, and the electricity returned. Sangah muttered something to herself.
"...Dokkaebi?"
A loud ringing rang out in Dokja's head and he clutched his head as a sharp pain accompanied it. He trembled as reality and the novel he knew overlapped.
Voices occupied his head, colors going distinctly dull and inverted.
