"Jungkook was in an orphanage since birth. It was the kind only noble children ended up in, so even though we didn't know his roots, anyone who adopted him could be sure he had noble blood in him.
However, he didn't have the mannerisms, the behavior of a noble. He was like any normal child born without titles. In Busan, the way a family carries itself is everything. Embarrassment is the highest disgrace, even if its because of a child. Because of this, many families had tried to adopt him, but always ended up returning him. We were the sixth family.
It made me a little wary of him to be honest. Around that time I was focused on proving myself to my parents, and I thought the last thing I needed would be a child acting without decorum and the blame falling back on me. I was awfully conceited".
Fingering her string of pearls around her neck she gazed out of the window again.
"But Jimin set out to become his best friend from day one. Jungkook wasn't used to someone ready to accept him despite all his flaws. He was very stiff and polite at first, and hardly looked anyone in the eye. But I think he realized Jimin was sincere. He began to open up to him, speak with him. He was skilled with sword play and he and Jimin would spend hours outside, practicing and playing. Jimin was sheltered, but Jungkook wasn't. He knew the dangers of life, the cruelty of people and was determined to protect Jimin from the horrors. That was how I understood he had been abused maybe once or twice in his life. I don't know. He never spoke of it and I never directly asked".
Namjoon felt his fists clench in anger. He thought of Jungkook, ready to help Yoongi when they thought he was dead, Jungkook sticking by Jimin from the moment they arrived. The thought that he had been abused....it was too hurtful to believe.
"I think he spoke to Jimin about it. That's why Jimin is always ready to be Jungkook's hyung, even if Jungkook is the stronger if the two. He feels safe with Jimin and Jimin likewise. The two of them have always been inseparable and I'm glad they're together now. They'd be lost without each other. I don't want you treating Jungkook as a pity case because of this Namjoon. He hates special treatment. I want you to understand why he might react to some things different or not understand some scenarios. At heart he's just a little kid. And while Jimin and I have showered him with all the love and affection possible, it doesn't mean his life is perfect. As his new husband, I want you to promise me that you'll keep the both of them happy, no matter what".

Namjoon stood up and took Roseanne's hand in his.
"I promise, your brothers will be safe and happy. I might not be able to love them, but I will make sure they're never sad or dissatisfied".
Roseanne sighed and released a soft smile.
"You know Crown Prince Namjoon, as much as I want to wage war, I think I will enjoy being your ally".
"Likewise Crown Princess Roseanne".

Jungkook sat in his room, running a thoughtful finger across his lip. Jimin had said Rose Noona and Namjoon were speaking, but he wondered what for.
Could Namjoon be sick of them already? Was he discussing the possibility of them being sent back home?
His thoughts were interrupted by Jimin entering his room and flopping next to him on the bed.
"Watcha doing?"
His lips were in a playful pout and he had crossed his legs.
"Waiting for Noona to finish, what else?"
"Well, instead of waiting here in complete boredom", Jimin groaned, "Come and let's go meet Tae! You guys haven't even spoken right?"
Jungkook racked his memory.
It was true. He was still yet to speak to Taehyung.
And from the looks of it Jimin would not rest till that had changed.
"Alright. Let's go visit Taehyung".
