Seungmin's POV

The morning sun bathed the park in a warm glow as Changbin and I wandered along the winding paths. We had decided to take a break from our respective busy lives and enjoy a peaceful morning amidst nature's embrace.

"Seungmin, this park is a gem," Changbin remarked, breaking the comfortable silence between us.

I nodded in agreement, a small smile playing on my lips. "It's a nice escape from the city hustle."

As we strolled, the conversation shifted to lighter topics—music, movies, and moments of levity that reminded us of simpler pleasures. Changbin's laughter echoed through the trees, a sound that eased the weight of our daily responsibilities.

Approaching a serene pond, we paused to admire the tranquility it offered. Ducks paddled lazily across the water, creating ripples that mirrored the peacefulness of the morning.

"Let's grab a coffee," Changbin suggested suddenly, his eyes lighting up with enthusiasm. "There's a cozy café nearby."

I agreed readily, eager for a warm drink to complement the crisp morning air. The café, nestled among blooming cherry blossom trees, exuded a welcoming ambiance. We found a corner table, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee adding to the tranquil atmosphere.

"Seungmin, I've been meaning to ask," Changbin began after we placed our orders, his tone tentative yet curious, "how's everything going with your work ?"

I smiled, grateful for his interest. "It's challenging, but fulfilling. "

Changbin nodded, his gaze thoughtful. "You've always work hard, I'm sure you're excelling."

The sincerity in his words warmed me, reminding me of the genuine connection we shared despite our busy lives. As we sipped our coffee, the conversation flowed effortlessly, touching on shared interests and aspirations for the future.

But just as I was beginning to relax into the moment, a familiar voice interrupted our tranquility. "Seungmin? Changbin?"

I turned to see Jiyeon,  another volunteer from sport charity, approaching our table with a bright smile. Her presence injected a sudden tension into the air, reminding me of the different worlds we inhabited.

"Jiyeon, hi," I greeted politely, exchanging a glance with Changbin who wore a polite smile.

"I didn't expect to see you two here," Jiyeon remarked, her gaze flickering between us with a hint of curiosity.

Changbin nodded politely. "We were just enjoying a break from the city."

Jiyeon's smile widened, her eyes lingering on Changbin for a moment longer than necessary. "Mind if I join you? I could use some company."

Changbin glanced at me briefly, silently seeking my approval. I nodded, masking the unease that churned within me. "Sure, Jiyeon. Join us."

As Jiyeon settled into the empty chair beside Changbin, I couldn't help but notice the subtle shift in dynamics. Her presence felt intrusive, a reminder of Changbin's broader social circle that extended beyond our shared moments in the park.

As the conversation continued, I found myself grappling with conflicting emotions—gratitude for Changbin's friendship, curiosity about Jiyeon's intentions, and a flicker of jealousy that threatened to disrupt our easy camaraderie.

Amidst the polite exchanges and shared laughter, I couldn't shake the lingering question—where did I fit into Changbin's life beyond our moments in the park, and what did Jiyeon's presence signify for our evolving relationship?
