Back in your room, you tried to steady your breathing. “This is it,” you told yourself, wiping away the last of your tears. “I have to do this for Grandma. I have to be strong.”

You glanced at the clock. It was almost time to meet Taehyung. You had heard of him, seen his photos, but the reality of meeting him felt daunting. “What if he doesn’t like me? What if I can’t do this?”

You shook your head, trying to banish the doubts. “No, I have to try. For my family, for Grandma. I can do this.”

Later, Taehyung arrived at your house, punctual as always. Your father greeted him warmly, ushering him inside.

“Taehyung, thank you for coming on such short notice,” your father said, patting his shoulder.

“It’s no trouble at all, sir,” Taehyung replied. “I’m honored to be here.”

Your father smiled, leading him to the living room. “Y/N will be down shortly. I know this is sudden, but I believe you two will make a wonderful match.”

Taehyung nodded, his heart racing slightly. “I hope so, sir. I’ve always respected you and your family, and I’ll do my best to make Y/N happy.”

As you descended the stairs, your heart pounded in your chest. You tried to steady your breathing, forcing a smile onto your face. When you entered the living room, you saw Taehyung standing there, talking with your father. His presence was commanding yet gentle, his eyes warm and welcoming.

Taehyung looked up as you entered the room, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. You were exactly as he had imagined: graceful, beautiful, and exuding a quiet strength. He couldn't help but feel a mix of admiration and anticipation.

"Hello, Taehyung," you greeted, your voice steady despite the turmoil inside.

"Hello, Y/N," he replied with a warm smile. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you."

Your father beamed, clearly pleased with the match. "Why don't we all sit and chat for a bit?"

You all took your seats, and the conversation began, mostly led by your parents. They spoke about family, values, and the upcoming wedding. Taehyung participated politely, but his focus often drifted to you, observing your reactions and trying to gauge your feelings.

"Y/N," your mother said, turning to you, "Taehyung has been very supportive of his family. I believe you'll find a lot in common."

You nodded, forcing a smile. "I'm sure we will."

After a while, Taehyung stood up. "Shall we go? I have a reservation at a restaurant. It will give us some time to get to know each other better."

You agreed, and as you all stood, Taehyung guided you towards the door. "Thank you for your hospitality," he said to your parents, bowing slightly.

Outside, Taehyung walked beside you, his presence calm and reassuring. "I hope you're comfortable with this arrangement," he said gently.

You glanced at him, appreciating his consideration. "It's a lot to take in, but I'm willing to try. For my family."

He nodded, understanding the weight of your words. "I respect that. We'll take it one step at a time."

He opened the car door for you, a gesture that didn't go unnoticed. You thanked him and settled into the seat, trying to calm the nervous fluttering in your stomach as he started the car and drove towards the restaurant

When you arrived at the restaurant, Taehyung opened the door and helped you out. Inside, he pulled out a chair for you, and you sat down, grateful for his manners.
