On a hot summer day, my friends, family, and I all went out to play.

Tents and blankets were put on exhibit as each was put up in a flit.

To avoid tanning in the hot sun, we did not forget our sunscreen lotion.

Cleaning and preparing the grill was completely the work of my father's will.

Though, nothing prepared him for the sudden spark and flare that surely gave him a good scare.

For me, the salty smell of the ocean always evoked an emotion.

I was held in captivity as I gazed upon the ocean's beauty with a sense of tranquility.

Following Mother Nature's design, I found myself strolling along the shoreline.

Where the low tides and the shore meet, the cold water rushed to kiss my feet.

Once apart of the lively commune, looking back reminded me of how precious of this boon.

As if tethered by an imaginary force, I recalled the sight of my mother's warm expression as she waved for me to tread back my course.

Jogging, there was no hesitation as I was pulled back by this gravitation.

With a gentle kiss and a spot beneath the sun's warm beam, that summer felt like a dream.
