Jedi on Corusant

On the Central Federation Battleship, Nute and Rune were sat at a conference table while a hologram of Fr. Droid was seated across from them. A the head of the table was a hologram of Darth Sidious.

Viceroy: We control all the cities in the North and are searching for any other settlements...

Sidious: Destroy all high-ranking officials, Fr. Droid... slowly...quietly.

Upon hearing "quietly", Fr. Droid's expression dulled... he wanted to hear their screams.

Fr. Droid: Very well, my Lord.

Sidious: And Queen Amidala, has she signed the treaty?

Viceroy: She disappeared, my Lord. One Naboo cruiser got past the blockade.

Sidious: Viceroy, find her! I want that treaty signed.

Viceroy: My Lord, it is impossible to locate the ship. It's out of our range.

Sidious: ... Not for a Sith...

A second Sith appeared next to Palpatine.

Sidious: ... Viceroy, this is my apprentice. Darth Maul. He will find your lost ship.

Viceroy: Yes, my Lord.

The holograms of the two Sith fade away.

Fr. Droid: sigh Well, I have my own work to take care of. I trust you two won't disturb me without good reason.

His hologram then fades out as well, leaving only the Viceroy and Rune in the room.

Viceroy: This is getting out of hand... now there are two of them, and three... maniacs who won't hesitate to kill us in many different ways at once!

RUNE : We should not have made this bargain. Having Fr. Droid and his companions here may be dangerous enough, but what will happen when the Jedi become aware of these Sith Lords?

After escaping from the blockade surrounding the planet of Naboo, the escapees made it part the way of their journey before having to make a stop at a planet in the outer-rim: Tatooine. They met a young boy and slave, Anakin Skywalker, who helped them win the money needed to fix their ship. During this, Qui-gon Jinn became convinced that Anakin was the "Chosen One" from an old Jedi prophecy, due to having an abnormally high midichlorian count. As a result, Qui-gon managed to free Anakin from slavery and allowed him to accompany them to their final destination. However, right before they could take off, Darth Maul came in an attempted to kill Qui-gon, but failed.

Now, the Jedi and their group arrive at the capital planet/city of the Galactic Republic: Corusant. As the Queen, her handmaidens, Jar Jar, and Anakin head towards the senate building, Qui-gon and Obi-wan make their way towards the Jedi Temple. Once there, they meet with the Jedi High Council, the highest power in the Order.

Qui-gon: ...my only conclusion can be that it was a Sith Lord.

Windu : A Sith Lord?!?

Mundi: Impossible! The Sith have been extinct for a millennium.

Yoda: The very Republic is threatened, if involved the Sith are.

Windu: I do not believe they could have returned without us knowing.

Yoda: Hard to see, the dark side is. Discover who this assassin is, we must.

Mundi: I sense he will reveal himself again.
