"Mom, please please please text her," I beg.

"You know it's probably going to be a no, right?" My mom explains, her hand running down her face in annoyance.

You see, I'm trying to get my mom to text Mrs. Leah. We've been in LA for a few hours now, and we've gotten entirely situated in our Airbnb. I know it's about to be the perfect week ever, but I'm trying to push it a little bit by having Leah (and maybe even Dior if she's not busy) come over for a sleepover. I would have tried to get Walker, Aryan, and Charlie, but my mom would go ballistic if any boy stayed over at night.

"Can you just try?"

"Fine."

Maybe I should have gotten here earlier. I've already had to push seventeen girls out of the way so I could get to the front of the book signing thing. People are here in Camp Half-Blood capes for the gods' sake.

After about an hour or so of being on my phone, people finally start rushing over and I can hear people screaming. The golden trio must have arrived. It'll be awhile before they migrate over here, so I shoot a quick text to Walker as a heads-up.

Once again, I'm left to scrolling through Instagram for another half hour. Why in the world do pictures take that long? Like I know some of them get pictures with them and yada yada but still.

It's the life of being famous I guess.

I know they're coming before I see them because the people around me start pushing up against me. I hate being squished, or touched, even. Aryan comes in first, signing books as he makes his way down the wall. I have my book out so I can get their signatures because why not?

Aryan gets closer, only a few people away from me now, and not too far behind him is Leah and Walker.

Aryan isn't really paying attention to my face when he takes my pen to sign the page, but when he's done, he looks up. I smile when his face immediately changes from confusion to shock.

"What the heck," he says, flabbergasted. "What the heck."

I laugh. "I literally texted you to keep your eyes peeled."

"Yeah but still. What the heck," he says, his hand raking through his hair. "Leah hasn't seen you yet, has she?"

"Nope. Walker already knows I'm here though."

"What? How?"

"He figured it out himself."

"That kid does not have that many braincells- there's no way," Aryan looks down the line to where Walker is talking with a fan. As if he can feel our stares, he turns to look at Aryan, then his eyes gravitate towards me. He winks and resumes his conversation like nothing happened.

Now Aryan's eyes are on me, and I can feel the tips of my ears go warm. "Anyways, it's getting kind of squished for me so can you just tell Leah to meet me next to the pier on the beach after you guys are done? Don't tell her I'm here."

"Got you, gang," he says, and we shoot finger guns at each other as a goodbye.

Reluctantly having to push people aside, I make my way through the crowd and across the street to the beach. Not soon after, Leah runs up to me, slowed down by the sand.

"Why didn't you fucking tell me you were here!" Leah exclaims, slapping my arm, and I recoil for a second. "Oh I'm sorry, I forgot," she says.

"It's no big deal," I laugh it off. "And yes I did tell you, just not exactly."

"Whatever," she rolls her eyes, sitting next to me, with the two boys behind her doing the same- Walker on my right, and Aryan next to him.

"Anyways, why are you two here?" I ask, referring to Walker and Aryan.

"Oh, this wasn't a whole group invite?" Aryan asks.

"I told you to tell Leah, not to drag your butt here and take Walker along with you," I say. "My mom would never allow a boy over anyways."

"Wait I'm coming to your house?" Leah asks, confused.

"Surprise sleepover!" I say happily. "And don't worry, your mom already said it's fine."

"Now you're breaking friend code by talking about that in front of us," Walker scoffs.

"You guys are the ones that came here without me inviting you," I taunt.

"Can we please just sneak in?" Aryan asks.

"I mean my mom isn't going to be back tonight so I guess sure- but just to be careful you'll have to come through the window in a few hours," I explain.

"Group Sleepover!"Aryan yells, jumping up.

Leah rushes to get him to sit down, saying that he's embarrassing us. I genuinely laugh, and Walker joins me.
