She really didn't have to do all this. When I came home from OTAs and saw a white box on my front porch, I knew it had to be what Taylor promised me yesterday. I took it into the house and set it on my kitchen counter.
"She outdid herself," I said to Kumar, my best friend and private chef, shaking my head in disbelief.
"You haven't even opened the box, bro" He replied with a laugh. "Down so incredibly bad."
I opened the box and what I saw blew my mind. A small white box with a red and yellow bow was on top of a blue Eras Tour crewneck, and a handwritten note from Taylor.
"Travis, I hated to hear you were left disappointed after my show in Kansas City, so I asked my team to drop off this little gift to you as my first apology. I hope to hear from you soon! ❤️, Taylor"
A smile grew across my face bigger, and bigger as I read each word. What a girl.
After finishing the note, I picked up the small white box, and slowly unwrapped the red ribbon that was tied in a perfect bow. Once I opened the lid, I saw a red, and yellow beaded friendship bracelet with ten tiny number beads laced on it.
"Holy shit," I said out loud when I really meant to keep it in my head.
"Dude, what?" Kumar asked, dropping his phone on the counter and walking over to me.
"She sent me a friendship bracelet with her number on it," I replied with a chuckle. "There's no way this is real life."
"That's insane," Kumar said, tapping the back of my shoulder as he headed towards the front door. "I'm happy for you dude, I'll leave you to it. Reach out to her, and don't ruin it!"
Kumar left, and I got my phone out. It didn't feel right to immediately text her. Instead, I went straight to Instagram and clicked on our direct message thread.

From TaylorSwift: I absolutely did! It was no big deal, really. I'm glad you got my friendship bracelet, now I just need to get yours.
That was when I decided to move things over to text.
Travis: Hey Swift, guess who?
Taylor: Hmmmm my favorite football player?
I smiled big. I can't believe she's got me acting like this.
Travis: Exactly, and how's my favorite pop star doing?
Taylor: Good! We're actually out with some of my family that are local to the KC area right now.
