Jennie clenched her jaw as she picked up her glass and took a few sips from the straw inside of it.
She was feeling anything but happy as she watched you across the room, chatting up your new friend from work who she just knew had a thing for you.
"Jennie? Are you alright?" Rosé asked and Jennie turned her head to look at her friends around her.
"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine. Why?"
"Because you're gripping that glass so tightly, I thought you were going to break it for a moment," Rosie said as she took Jennie's glass out of her hand and set it on the table.
Jennie let out a sigh and ran her hands across her face.
"You look stressed. Is it about Y/N's new work friend?" Lisa wondered.
"I don't think she's stressed. I think she's jealous." Jisoo spoke as she sipped on her drink.
"I'm not jealous," Jennie replied but the girls just shook their heads with a laugh.
"You're a terrible liar when it comes to anything about your girl." Rosie chuckled.
"I can't help it. We were supposed to come to have dinner with just the three of you tonight but her new work friend calls and says she needs a friend and asks what she's doing tonight. She has feelings for Y/N. I just know it."
"I agree with you," Lisa said. "You said that she sounded upset when she called Y/N but she looks anything but upset to me. She hasn't stopped smiling or laughing since Y/N sat down next to her."
Jennie shook her head and tried to ignore the jealousy she was feeling but it was so hard to do.
She's never the type of person to assume anything or try to dismiss anyone's emotions.
But there was no way this new friend of yours needed a friend to talk to, she just used it as an excuse to try and get you out with her tonight.
In fact, when she first saw you walk into this restaurant tonight hand in hand with Jennie, she looked a little angry.
Jennie tried to brush it all off because at the end of the day, she trusts you and she knows that if your friend does have feelings for you, it's one-sided because you're in love with Jennie.
But a few minutes later, as Lisa asked her about a couple of projects she'd been working on, she just so happened to look over at the two of you and watched as this new friend of yours stared at you with stars in her eyes.
She bit her lip, twirled her hair, and reached out to tuck a lock of hair behind your ear.
"Don't do that." Jennie heard you say before you pushed this new friend's hand away.
But it didn't stop her.
She said something that Jennie couldn't quite catch before she looked at your hand that rested on the table and went to grab it in hers, only for Jennie to get up from her table with the girls and rush over and push the girl's hand away before it could touch yours.
"What the hell?" Your friend spoke.
"Jennie," You sighed and your girlfriend didn't miss the way you sounded relieved to see her.
"Come on, baby. The girls want to talk to you. You've been over here all night so far and they haven't even had the chance to say hi to you." Jennie said before smiling at you and helping you out of your seat.
"Wait, Y/N," Your friend said and stood up, trying to grab your wrist only for Jennie to step in front of you. "We're hanging out."
"Not anymore," Jennie said. "I saw how you were looking at my girlfriend and how you were behaving. Not only am I pissed because she was uncomfortable with you but also because you were flirting with my girl! Trying to tuck a lock of hair behind her ear and hold her hand is so inappropriate when she's taken."
Jennie took one step closer, now almost in her face.
"She's mine, all mine. I don't appreciate you flirting with my girl. And that call about you needing a friend because you were upset was such bull! You seem perfectly fine to me. You have all night. I haven't seen you look sad, upset, or even come close to shedding a tear all night. You just wanted an excuse to see my girl."
You shook your head as you gazed at your now ex-friend.
"She has a big soft heart so I know she wanted to be a genuine friend to you. But you have feelings for her and that's the only reason you wanted to hang out with her despite knowing she's taken." Jennie said before clenching her jaw again. "She's my girl, all mine, so get that thought out of your head. You stand no chance with her."
"Why don't you let her speak for herself?"
You scoffed and wrapped your arms around Jennie from behind.
"She said everything I wanted to say. I'm in love with Jennie. I don't want anyone else, not ever." You spoke. "And by the way, we're no longer friends."
You let Jennie go and took her hand instead.
You went to walk to the table with the girls but Jennie let your hand go and grabbed your hips in her grip instead to spin you around.
And before you could say a word, her lips met yours as she gave you a passionate kiss.
She was just gloating a little, just showing off to your ex-friend that you were all hers, but she also loves you very much and wanted to give you a few kisses after everything.
"Whatever." The girl mumbled before walking out of the restaurant.
Jennie pulled away from your lips a few seconds later and saw you smirking at her.
"What?" She giggled.
"Nothing. It's just so hot when you get jealous and protective."
Jennie sent you that precious gummy smile and kissed you softly before gently caressing your cheek.
"You're all mine and I'm not afraid to do or say whatever I have to for that to get through people's heads."
You laughed before wrapping your arms around her neck and kissing her again.
"As long as everyone knows that you're all mine and I'm all yours, I'm okay with that."
She hugged you tightly for a moment before nodding to the table with the girls.
"Come on, let's go eat and spend time with our friends, baby girl."
You smiled and walked to the table as Jennie smiled proudly, knowing that the girl from work knew for sure that she stood no chance with you because you're already all hers.
