Memory - A Taekook Story ✅

III: No One's POV

Two best friends, Taehyung and Jungkook, walked side by side as they were walking to Taehyung's house from school. Both were quiet, looking at the ground. Not being able to take anymore silence, Taehyung turned to look at Jungkook.

"JK, I have a question for you."

Jungkook looked at Taehyung with his bunny smile. "Wassup?" Jungkook asked him.

Taehyung stopped him in the middle of the sidewalk and pulled Jungkook aside. He asked, "Do you like anybody?" Jungkook just looked at him, his cheeks turning pink. He contemplated on telling Taehyung, but ended up replying shyly, "Well, there's one boy. I met him two years back and I've liked him ever since. A lot."

Taehyung's heart dropped a bit. He asked, "What's his name?"

The younger blushed hard, his cheeks now a cherry red, and whispered, "I won't say the name."

"Then tell me: do I know him?"

Jungkook looked at him and, not being able to hold it in him any longer, replied, "It's you!"

Before Taehyung could even respond, Jungkook quickly ran off to his (Taehyung's) house. Taehyung was filled with immediate joy as he ran after Jungkook, screaming, "I'll get to my house faster than you ever can!"

The next day, Jungkook wasn't able to come outside because he got sick with the flu. The poor boy had the worst stuffy nose and big headaches, so he was stuck in his house, practically glued to his bed. So, Taehyung would come back from school and sit outside of his door, talking to him. He loved to hear Jungkook's adorable voice.

Taehyung was especially happy when he was talking to him on Friday.

"JK, I'm here!"

"Taehyung! Hi! How was school?"

"Good. Jimin wanted to know how you were feeling, so I told him that you were getting better... you are getting better, right?"

"*Sigh* Taehyung, I am getting better. And once I get better, you get to see me again!"

"I don't just get to see you again. I get to sweep you off your feet and take you on a date."

Jungkook blushed hard behind the door, thankful Taehyung wouldn't see his bright red face. He mumbled, "Taehyung..."

"What?" Taehyung said, "you're my boyfriend. We said so two days ago." Jungkook replied shyly, "I know, but it's still odd to me. You're my first boyfriend." Taehyung said, "You're my first date too. But that doesn't mean I should be nervous. Plus, we need to pick the day our date is gonna happen, y'know? So, what works for ya?"

Jungkook laughed and replied, "Omigosh Taehyung!" Taehyung chuckled and said, "Tell me the date." He said, "Next week on Friday. Evening." Taehyung pouted and said, "Ya, I can't wait a week..."

"Yes you can," Jungkook replied, laughing a bit, "you're gonna have to. Stupid."

"Awwww. You don't like this stupid boy?"

Jungkook crept closer to the door. Leaning against it, he replied, " You're right. I don't like this stupid boy. I love him."

Today is the day of their date.

Jungkook, on one hand, is frantic. He can't decide what to wear.

"Omigosh, he told me about the date a week ago and I have no idea what to wear omg Jimin what do I do?!" Jimin stared at his friend and sighed. He walked up to him and put his hands on his shoulders.
