Izuku let out a shaky breath. Right now, he stood Infront of a 7 story building. Although it stood straight and still seemed to be occupied by families, you could see the signs of old age from the cracked yellow walls.

It was a strange sight. A strange feeling. It felt as if he where visiting something from a fever dream. He seemed to remember countless memories that played at every inch of the building, yet they felt foreign. Almost as if they had been intentionally planted into his mind, not something he could casually remember as something he went through. Although it was clear he had actions he had done at his old home, now he couldnt re imagine himself in those places. It felt like a movie. Simply something he watched years of years ago.

As izuku strode up the stair case, he could picture him and his mother walking side by side. He could imagine the bright smile she probably had on her face. The happiness in her eyes kept his attention diverted from the deep black bags carried alongside them.

Today Izuku decided that he would go back to what used to be his home. Even though things will never be the same as before, he still hoped that maybe he's mom would remember him. Maybe she'll accept him back, and just maybe, things could go back to how they where.

He lifted his tightly clenched hand from his side and placed them inches from the very familiar wooden door. Izuku was starting to doubt himself. What if she doesn't remember him. What if those eyes that stared at him with so much warmth, would be cold and confused now. What if she resented him, maybe by now she'd realized he wasn't worth all the time she had spent. Izuku in all honestly couldnt imagine how he would react. Maybe it wasnt his moms reaction that he was afraid of, rather his own. Izuku tried to imagine himself getting whatever was coming for him. He just simply couldnt tell how he would react, would he even care. Say that his mom did accept him, what would happen to him then, what if he wasnt able to show the emotion his mom deserved. What if she blames herself for izukus demise. Izuku all but wanted his mom to be in pain.

That being said, Izuku wasnt going to walk away now, He very well knew that the whisperes in his mind where all a figment of imagination willing to pull him down. However, Izuku has nothing to lose. So after what felt like an eternity, he let his knuckles hit the wouldnt door. He heard the echo of his knocks from the inside. That means it was loud enough for her to hear as well. This was it. No turning back.

Yet he still stood there in silence. He waited a few more minutes before trying again.

Nothing.

Izuku tried to look for a door bell. He waited until the sun set, just in case his mother had gone somewhere.

The sun was divided by the horizon, the orange hew lighting up everything in gold. The shadows seemed to grow and so did izukus worry.

With that he tried his last option.

Izuku gently placed his hand on the door knob and tried to pry it open. However it seemed to be locked. So instead, he activated his quirk second stage, letting one of his nails grow long and sharp before placing it inside the lock. After a few seconds of switching and clicking. The door opened.

It was dark inside, the lights where off. Izuku took a step inside unsure if what he was doing was right.

"Hello?" he called in a whisper. The only reply he got back was silence.

Izuku continued to go inside the house.

He let out a few chuckles.

His stomach dropped. His nervousness and former emotions all washed away. Izuku didnt need the lights to be turned on, his night vision helped. He could see everything clearly, yet there was nothing to be seen.

The house was empty, not a single furniture or sign of life. So this was his reply wasnt it? His mother would not show him emotion and he wouldnt have to either, because well she wasnt there in the first place.

She was gone.

Izuku didnt know what to do. He stared at the empty house walking through the hall, the living room, to his mothers room. Everywhere he went, he saw memories, happy, sad, angry. It all felt so foriegn. Izuku could picture everything in its place. He could picture this place as his house from memory, but right now, it didnt feel like home.

He turned the knob to his room, expecting to be met with the same emptiness as the rest of the house. Yet when he entered, he was met with his mothers last hope of mercy.

Izuku sprinted to the center of the room, immediately dropping to his knees he picked up the small packaged gift. He carried it carefully in his hands as if it where glass. Lifting up a paper tag from it, he read out 'To my dearest sunshine. happy 4rth birthday.' Izuku felt himself crumble. She had left this intentionally for him.

He brought it close to his chest hugging it as if it where her.

His moment of sentiment was however ruined. His ears pricked at that moment. He could hear hurried footsteps. All of the sudden he was alarmed. His tail lifted slightly in defense. Within seconds he escaped from the window not making a single sound.

A group of suited men where surrounding his house, talking to each other in a hushed manner. Although it may have not been noticeable for most, Izuku could see the glock hidden behind there blazer, tucked safely. If it werent for the little buldge he wouldn't have immediately caught on to the situation. He recognized these people, they where working for All for one, or atleast doctor Ujiko.

Izuku wasnt stupid, he knew for sure that he wasnt safe just because he escaped from hell. He knew they would look for him until the end of the world because of how much dedication they spent on him. He was there toy in making.

Still a feeling of anger bubbled in his gut, knowing that they knew he would be there. They knew where he was vulnerable. Izuku realised that if he wanted to continue this freedom, he had to try harder.

Immidiatly he fled from the scene, not a whisper of him left as evidence.
