Plot : Y/n is sleeping in the dormitory to be ready for the activity the dauntless leaders have prepared but when she wakes up she realizes that she's late and everyone is already gone.
Y/n POV:
The sound of the dorm slamming shut jolts me awake. I sit up in my bed, blinking in confusion as I glance around the empty room. Panics sets in when I realize the others initiates are already gone.
I scramble out of bed, my heart racing. No one woke me up for the flag game activity, not even my friends. What the hell?
I throw on my clothes as quickly as possible, my hands fumbling with my boots, getting more and more stressed.
"Damn it"
I mutter under my breath, feeling the pressure of the ticking clock. The thought of missing the game, of letting my team down and becoming factionless, spurs me into action.
I grab my black leather jacket with the fire symbol on the back and bolt ot of the room, sprinting down the hallways of the dauntless compound. As I burst through the door outside, I hear the faint sound of the train approaching.
I push myself harder, my legs burning with the effort. The train track is just ahead, and I can see the last few dauntless initiates running to catch the train. The train appears, roaring down the track, and I realize I'm cutting it dangerously close.
I'm almost there, but the train is already starting to speed up making some pearls of sweat run down the back of my neck. My heart pounds in my chest as I give everything I've got, my breath coming in sharp, ragged gasps.
I reach the platform just as the last of the initiates jump onto the train. Desperation fuels me as I stretch out my hand, praying for a miracle, hoping that someone will see me.
Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I see a figure leaning of the train car, hand extended towards me. It's Four. His eyes lock onto mine, filled with worry and determination.
"Jump !" He yells.
With a final burst of energy, I leap toward the moving train. For a heart-stopping moment , I feel like I might miss but then Four's hand grasps mine, strong and sure.
He pulls me up with surprising ease, and I stumble into the train car, collapsing against the wall as I catch my breath.
"Thanks"
I manage to gasp, my chest heaving. My heart is still racing, but now it's from more than just the run. I've had a crush on Four since he helped me out of that net on my first day here even though I knew that he would never feel the same.
He is the great fearless Four so there is just no way. Plus I'm sixteen and he's eighteen.
Four looks at me, his expression a mix of concern and relief.
"You cut it pretty close" He says, his voice steady but with an edge of astounishment.
"Why were you late?" He asks curiously.
