16 : The Coat Conundrum

Back to India:

Sidharth, Avyan, and Shanaya are sitting at the dining table. The maids are serving lunch to these three individuals. Sidharth and Avyan are sitting together, and Shanaya is sitting next to them.

Sidharth: "And tell me, how is everyone at home? Are Uncle and Aunty feeling better?"

Avyan: "Yes, everyone is absolutely fine."

Shanaya: "Brother, do you know that Shivnaya has a concert in a day or two?" *Shanaya asks excitedly*

Sidharth: "I had talked to Shivi, but at that time, she was shouting at someone. Poor whoever it was, may God save them from Shivi's anger."

Shanaya: "What, brother, you too!! She's not that bad."

Sidharth: "I know. She's even worse."

While Sidharth and Shanaya are talking, Avyan's phone rings. He takes out his phone from his pant pocket and looks towards Shanaya and Sidharth.

Avyan: "Excuse me!! Um... It's an important call from the office. I'll attend to it right now."

Sidharth: "Sure!"

Avyan comes to the hall to attend his phone call.

On the phone call:

Avyan: "Hello." *Avyan says in a cold voice.*

Vikram: "Hello boss. Other company has sent the file of an important project needing your signature." *Avyan's secretary says in a professional voice.*

Avyan: "Okay, no problem. I am coming right away. Bring that file to my cabin."

Avyan ends the call without hearing Vikram's response and goes to Sidharth and Shanaya.

Avyan: "Actually, I have some urgent work at the office, so I have to leave. Bye. Let's meet later, Sid."

Sidharth: "Hey, you've come after so many years, and now you have to leave?"

Avyan: "It's important, that's why."

Sidharth: "Alright, but at least have lunch before you go!"

Avyan: "Sorry, but maybe next time. Okay, bye."

Avyan turns to leave for the office and gives one last look at Shanaya. Sidharth accompanies him to the car outside. Once they reached outside, they share a friendly hug. Avyan then gets into his car and drives off to the office.

Sidharth comes back home and sits on the sofa. Shanaya comes up to him and says...

Shanaya: "Brother, I had lunch, and yes, I'm going to the cafe with Adhya. Let me know if Mom comes."

Sidharth: "Alright, but be careful and if you face any issues, call me."

Shanaya: "Okay, brother. Bye." *Shanaya hugs Sidharth. Sidharth lovingly caresses his dear little sister's head.*

Shanaya waits outside her house for Adhya. After 10 minutes, Adhya arrives in her car. Shanaya gets into the car with Adhya and they head to the cafe.

On the other hand:

At Rathore Enterprises:

Avyan is in his cabin. His secretary Vikram stands near his chair. Avyan reads the file carefully and then signs it at the end.

Vikram takes the file and leaves the cabin to start his work.

While sitting comfortably in his cabin, Avyan looks at his phone on the table. He sees childhood photos of her in Shanaya's room on his phone.
