After a very, very long argument about who to sleep where, I finally managed convincing Beel to sleep in his bed while I sleep on the couch. After putting my own pillow and blanket, it ended up rather comfortable even. The room was decorated prettily with stars that glowed when the lights were off and I found myself staring longingly at them in a way that I could not recognise.
Suddenly I was reminded of a few things. And then a few others that unfortunately made me come to an awful question.
Was the seventh brother, Beel's twin, and the mean guy I had the misfortune of texting with three times, really in the human world? Lucifer did not let me go up the stairs. In fact, he looked almost desperate to not allow me to see what is up there.
The voice I heard night ago disappeared as well. But whenever I passed the stairs, an awful atmosphere fell all over me. It was an exact book description of a lesson we went through in 'Magic 101'. 'Even humans with no magical abilities can sense when a spell is set into place. (In cases of magic requiring great powers, the atmosphere surrounding the place of casting may even have a great emotional effect to the person going through it. )'
It felt airy. And heavy. As if the spell-caster was a specifically knowledgeable and they knew the great emotional effect it has, so they tried using another spell to lift the atmosphere's turmoil.
And one demon came to mind when I reached that description.
Lucifer.

The hallway was completely dark when I got out. There were a few rays of moonlight that got in from the windows but even they were not enough to make good light source.
I got my D.D.D. from out of my pocket and as I put on an Asmodeus edit I found in Devildom's Fabcam (which from what I saw was basically Tiktok) and started searching for the staircase, it felt like I was in a horror game more than it should have. Fortunately, Lucifer had already told us to not bother him during dinner as he would be busy doing some council work. It felt too convenient.
But nevertheless I ascended the staircase and as I reached the top of it - I felt oddly disappointed.
There was nothing there. Just walls and paintings.
And a real podium where a single vase, decorated with roses and vines as paintings across the porcelain material of it, which was bathed in the soft light of the moon. I looked at the celestial body that seemed in its full form today.
"You..." A sleepy voice mumbled from behind me.
I jumped in the air before I finally came down face to face with the seventh brother I have seen in the pictures of the brothers. He was truly beautiful. Indigo hair which ended in white streaks at the end - and the same violet-pink eyes that matched his twin's.
