After that conversation, I quite literally sprinted to the stairs. Not thinking about the possibility Lucifer's stupid face showing up from the corners or anyone for that matter noticing me  ascending to the attic. And people in bad mood turn up to do some very foolish things after all...

Belphi peeked from the prison-like room before he smiled in what seemed to be a very characteristic way. "Hey! I didn't expect you to come by so quickly!"

"You snarky little shit." I ended up saying as I got to the front of the door. Belphegor frowned unappreciatively.

"Excuse me?"

"Do I look like a fool to you?!" I questioned him angrily. While I was angry about the situation with Levi being very much stolen away from me, the fact that a guy who needed MY help and treated me like a puppet to do his biddings made me even more mad.

"A fool? What do you mean?" One of his eyebrows rose up as he looked down at me. Figuratively and literally. He was not taking this seriously. Not even a bit.

"First, you ask for my help. Then, you order me around. You lie to me and you expect me to help you!" My eyes widened as I heard my own words. I was not supposed to say that...at least not this soon. I quickly began speaking again to try and distract him from what I ended up announcing. "And not only that but I haven't even said yes to helping you! Don't forget t-"

"I lied? I lied about what?" Belphi interrupted me with an innocent smile on his face that showed a facade of patience and kindness. Like an adult scolding a child about something they let them do just to find out consequences exist. 'Why did you do that? It's wrong, you know. I never told you that but you should have known. It's your fault that you did that.' "And if you theoretically found out anything. You only have yourself to blame. For believing me you know. Did you bury your nose where you shouldn't have? Being nosy is a flaw, Y/N."

"I repeat again. I haven't accepted your proposal yet. In fact, acting like that won't get you my help. The help you are asking fo-" And yet again I was let interrupted as Belphegor glared at me while thick purple fog surrounded him and when it was finally gone - he had grown horns and a tail in an instant.

I couldn't even finish my words before he had transformed into his full demon form.

His hand went through the bars and flew with insane speed at the collar of my shirt as he pulled me to him. The locked door was my only saving grace. "You should know when to keep your mouth shut." He hissed through his teeth as his eyes showed so much venom.

"Hm?! Weren't you supposed to be a human?! By the way, usually humans don't have horns or tails. Telling you so you know next time you try tricking another person." Even though I could feel my body shaking from the dangerous situation, I managed to utter a few sentences without stuttering.
