Pov' Grace Reed.

It seems that agreeing to go on this blind date was a terrible idea, considering that I've been sitting at this table for almost an hour waiting for my date to arrive from wherever he is. I'm already on my third glass of red wine and some people are watching me, probably reflecting on the misfortune of finding myself alone in this restaurant.

I feel like someone was giving me a withering look, it's something when someone just looks at you, but what that person was doing was staring at me in such a way that it made me uncomfortable. When I turn around, I don't see anyone looking at me, not even at anything close to me. My eyes fall on a table near the window, where a man wearing a black suit and shoes is illuminated by the restaurant's light.

He is alone, reading the menu of meals available at the establishment. It's not that I paid much attention, but I sure did. He wore black-framed glasses, natural with some curls and on his wrist a beautiful golden watch that seemed to be expensive and at the same time old, like an old souvenir from an old friend or lover.

Just seeing him from afar, he would definitely fit into my ideal type. And at least I know his face, unlike my "date" who was supposed to be tandojaning with me and not leaving me alone in this restaurant.

Tired of staying here, I made a gesture waiting to ask for the bill, when I paid for the three glasses of wine I was drinking, I got up from the table, picked up my coat and headed towards the exit of the restaurant.

During the short journey to the exit, someone bumped into me, causing my bag to fall. I quickly picked up my belongings and put them back where they belonged, without saying anything to the person who bumped into me.

When leaving the restaurant, next to me in my car, I took the key and deactivated the alarm, putting it in and putting on my seat belt. I started the car and started driving towards my house.

When I got home, I went to my room to get ready and sleep. I came out of the bathroom in a new pair of pajamas and started looking for my phone in my bag.

To my surprise, he was no longer there! Even though I was inattentive, I wouldn't lose it if it were the last thing I had left.

Then I remembered the man who bumped into me and the bag that fell to the floor. I had picked up everything that was on the floor, at least I think. But it looks like someone was faster than me.

— Shit! — I groan when I see what happened. — Someone stole my phone! — I shout angrily as I walk in circles around the room.
