Fist collided with air as Mirko ducked and weaved through Ozuku's punches, and every kick he added into the mix were deflected or completely countered.
"Come on I know you can do better than that!" The Rabbit heroine shouted.
"I'm *Dodge* Trying!" Izuku said through dodging and blocking as best as he could.
But he missed the sneak attack that came from Gran Torino who sucker punched him with iron gauntlets on his hands, they were completely red with dents in the metal to show wear and tear.
"Focus on more than just your opponent kid keep checking your surroundings." Advised Torino.
Izuku's jaw ached even with the energy shield and armor cushioning the blow, it seemed Torino just hit that hard with those gauntlets on, or as he called them his beat a bitch 'gloves'.
Yet before Izuku or the other two could continue with the spar a bell clanged, indicating that they had spared for 4 hours straight and it was time to stop.
Torino smiled as he took his gauntlets off and turned his head to Izuku "You did good kid, definitely better than that muscle head teacher of yours. But don't get a big head about that, tell me. What percentage were you at during our spar?"
Izuku took his helmet off and rubbed the scatch on the metal plating "Um, I was at 15 percent as if I upped it I would do damage to the building and floor."
Rumi cackled at this "Hell yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Even when holding back you're better than most, I should know as I hold back all the time!"
"Really? Sure didn't feel like it when you kicked me in the spine earlier." He emphasized this as he rubbed the large dent in the spinal armor.
Waving her hand back and forth Rumi replied "Don't think that's me at my max, just like you I gotta hold back or else I'd dig holes wherever I kicked off the ground and that would put me in debt real quick."
"That...makes a lot of sense actually." Replied Izuku while clutching the chin of his helmet.
Torino cleared his throat getting both of their attention "Well since you've done good today and aren't broken just yet, why don't you and rabbit's foot go out and patrol the Hosu area?"
Rumi tilted her head as she thought this over while Izuku beamed in excitement at the opportunity to patrol with his second favorite hero of all time.
"Sure I don't see why not, the little guy has shown he's capable and won't slow me down so I'll have him tag along." Answered Rumi.
At hearing Rumi call him 'little guy' he pouted and dropped his shoulders "But I'm 6'1 now, making me taller than you by foot."
Gran Torino and Rumi ignored that and the old timer nodded and started walking up towards the kitchen "Alright then, don't be to late and if your gonna stay out longer than expected than you better eat while your our and book a hotel, these doors are locked by 9:30."
Rolling her eyes as her grandfather Rumi responded in a less excited tone, all earlier adrenaline having left by now "Yeah, yeah I know the drill gramps."
Torino had already walked out and into the kitchen leaving Rumi alone with Izuku, said young man turned and spoke to the heroine.
"So what's the plan for our patrol?"
The silver haired woman turned to address him "Don't know kid, I usually just roam around. But say, I got something to ask you."
Beaming at the older woman Izuku responded "Sure, what's up?"
