CH20 "I love you Vera."

           
   CHAMPAGNE COAST, Blood Orange

    "Comin'." Walker's voice is heard from inside the room. Aliona breathes in sharply holding the flowers and snacks outside his room. She didn't knock on the connected door. She knocked on his door, so walker was expecting anyone but her.

When he opened the door, both of their hearts felt like they stopped. Walkers more than Aliona. Because he wasn't mentally ready to be confronted to the girl.

She smiled softly, her lips only. Aliona usually smiles with her eyes, being filled with so much sympathy. That's one of the things that made walker fall in love. This time, her eyes were just, gone. Or filled with pity, one of those.

As much as walker was pissed, he couldn't seem to take it out on her like he did earlier today. He felt his muscles relax at her presence. Walker smiled.

"Hi." He says. Walker looks at the flowers she's holding. "Did someone die?"

"No, but I miss you."

They look at each other in silence. Walker takes all of Alionas features in for the hundred time since he met her, each time being better than the previous. Everything about Aliona just sits perfectly right with Walker.

"Can we talk? I sort of owe you an explanation." She tells him.

"Wanna come in? Or do you want to go some place else?" Walker asks her.

It was dumb to ask her that, knowing she's the most indecisive person. "You know what, wait for me here." Walker walks back in his room grabbing his car keys and locking the door behind him.

"Give me your hand please."
The two teenagers fingers interlink, and they're off to wherever Walker is taking them.

"So tell me, why were you acting like a bitch all weekend, specially after rafe's party?" Ali asks Walker. She thought it would be a good start for this conversation. They were siting on the hill where they had their first kiss. Aliona was sat under walkers jacket since he refused to let her sit on the grass with her gray sweatpants. Walker thought it would be peaceful for them to talk here. Especially after all the tension and arguments. Him and Ali never argued this much before. And he really doesn't want their upcoming relationship or whatever this is to go bad.

It started raining where they were since they got here but it was too late to back off. They tried to shelter themselves under a tree but they failed miserably. They just let themselves get wet from the rain and talked.

Aliona looks at Walker searching for answers. But he can't seem to look her in the eyes. Both their hair are soaking, their clothes sticked to their bodies, showing each others body shapes. Slightly distracting each other.

"And promise me we'll keep this conversation honest, no lies. We need to be very honest with each other like we are when we shit talk people. Okay?" Aliona states. Walker smiles and nods.

"So," he finally looks at her. "At your brothers stupid party, filled with booze and horny teens, Jacob and I decided to sit with your friends or brothers or whatever Ian and Jack are, right?"

"And your name was brought up of course, and Jacob or Aryan, I don't remember which one, I was a bit tipsy, asked Jack and ian, if you would date me, now listen Ali I need you to tell me the truth okay?"

Aliona nods. "They said you wouldn't."

Knots started to shape in both of their stomachs listening to this. Walker stares at the girls wet face.

Now it was Aliona that couldn't look him in the eye. She stayed silent.

"So I'm guessing it's true." Walker said. Disappointed.

"I did say it but I didn't mean it Walker. I promise." As energetic Aliona always is, it's even worse when she's trying to explain herself. So she stands up, looks down at him and starts talking with her hands, practically begging him to hear her out.

"I might sound like a dumb hoe trying to find any excuse to not get with a guy but no. I was scared Walker. When they asked me if I would date you I freaked out because I thought you wouldn't. I don't know what it is that made me think that, actually I do. First of all you didn't tell your family about us kissing, my whole family knows, and second of all you made it obvious that you wanted to keep it a secret from our friends, Jacob and all of that! So yeah-"

Now it was Walker that was standing up after what he just heard, he looks down at her, their chests practically touching, their t shirts soaking wet from the rain.    "im gonna cut you off because what the hell are you saying?! Jacob?! Seriously?! That guy didn't know we kissed until the party but he fucking knew that I've been in love with you since fucking 2021! 3 years! I've loved you this whole time! And he fucking knows and so does my family. I am not trying to hide shit from no one!" Walker raises his deep voice, still cracking.

Aliona looks up at him. Suddenly feeling small, not having the same confidence as earlier to speak. Her heart absolutely torn with what she just heard. She stops for a second to think, looking at the hills behind Walker, her mouth parted out of shock, and her eyes big, fighting the tears that are threatening to come out. His hair is soaking, falling on his eyes. "what?" She looks at Walker who was already looking at her.

"This whole time, you didn't think of telling me? Walker we could've been good a long time ago!" Ali's voice cracking, out of pain and anger.

"You think I fucking could?! You're whole situation with Adam and all the guys on their knees for you, you didn't think I wanted to tell you? Grab you and kiss you, sending this friendship to go fuck itself and make you mine? Well, I couldn't seem to do it, Vera. Yes i was a fucking pussy.but I'm not anymore and I'm not letting dumb arguments ruin what we have cause we're better than that. And you know it."

"I love you Vera." He looks at her, pissed, begging at the same time. He breathes in and I out heavily, the rain making it difficult. but all Aliona could see was his soft gaze behind all this, and unexpectedly, love. The gaze he's been giving her ever since they met was love. And she didn't know it. Now she sees it for what it is. It's like they were both blinded this whole time. What a weird concept, friendship.

Aliona never thought this sentence would get to her this much. Never has a person told her they loved her romantically. Except for the guys on social media. Coming from walkers mouth was incredible, Alionas stomach has never felt this good. Nor her heart.

She grabs his neck with both of her hands bringing his face down to her. Their lips crash together. Finally. It was long and passionate, their lips moving in sync. Feeding each others hungry mouths. The rain making everything better. Just like a movie. They both never felt at home like they did now. "I love you too, Walker."

Should I write a fanfic on the movie that they're filming? Like the sci fi one? I have so many ideas, basically I'll be writing the content of the movie.
