In the evening, a girl at the backside of Khan University was leaving, wearing a simple light pink shalwar kameez with a dupatta on her head. It was very quiet, and it was getting dark. Suddenly, she started walking fast.
She could hear heavy footsteps behind her. Suddenly, she started running; her forehead was wet with sweat, and her hair was sticking to her face. One of the men suddenly held her hand and yanked her towards him.
He had a disgusting smile on his face as he eyed her lecherously from head to toe. They pulled her and forcefully threw her into a car. The car drove off. One of the men put a chemical on her nose, and in response, she fainted.
The car stopped in front of a fancy penthouse. The five men took the girl out and carried her inside. They threw her on a bed and waited for an hour until she regained consciousness. When she woke up, the room was empty, and she was lying on a fancy bed. She got up and started banging on the door. The men entered the room, and one of them moved toward the girl and pulled off her dupatta.
"It's not fun to play with girls unless they are conscious and protest," the second man said, laughing hysterically. The girl cried and begged, "Please leave me. Pleaseee. Please don't touch me. Pleaseee." The men just laughed and enjoyed her misery. The men started tearing her clothes and they took her innocence away one by one. She was swerving. She was constantly fighting back, after two hours she gave up and lay there like a living corpse. She lost all her hope and will to fight. She gathered the voice she had in her and screamed at the top of her lungs. The empty living room echoed with her horrified screams.
"May Allah give you death of a dog. May you ask for death but not receive it. May Allah give you a daughter too, and may her destiny be perfect. May your heart break with her every pain. May you constantly worry about her honour. May the earth split open and swallow me whole. May Allah's wrath descend upon all of you. What will you gain by taking away my honour? May you all die. May you all die. May you all be humiliated. Allah, Alllllaaaahhhh!!!" Then the screams stopped, and one of the men brought the girl out, covered in the bedsheet. She had fainted. They left her near a dump in the same state.
A woman passing by the dump saw her and rushed towards her. She called the police, and the girl was taken to the hospital.
Next morning:
The breakfast table was bustling with the morning activity of the Khan family. The sun streamed in through the windows, casting a warm glow over the polished wood. Ibrahim and Zain sat at the breakfast table, waiting for their breakfast. They were both preoccupied with the task ahead—visiting a rape victim who had bravely decided to file a case against her assailants. The weight of this mission added a sombre undertone to the otherwise lively morning.
Sofiyah, Amaira, and Zainab entered the dining room together, their chatter filling the space. As soon as Amaira took her seat, Ibrahim leaned over with a mischievous grin.
"Begum (wife), can you get me some tea." Amaira poured him some tea as she did not want to create a scene. A minute later, Ibrahim again interrupts and asks for a paratha. Amaira can you also give me some omelet and a glass of water?" he asked, his tone teasing.
Amaira's eyes narrowed. "Ibrahim, I'm not your servant," she snapped, her irritation evident. Everyone present at the dining table noticed that she did not call Ibrahim 'Bhai.'
Ibrahim chuckled. "Just trying to lighten the mood," he said, but Amaira was having none of it. She stood up abruptly, refusing to do any of his work further.
Meanwhile, Zain sat beside Zainab, who was engrossed in her phone, texting Wahaj. Despite being Zain's wife now, Zainab's heart was conflicted, and she had decided to get back together with Wahaj. She has decided to divorce Zain. She can't think about anyone other than Wahaj being her partner and ignoring an amazing partner like Zain.
