xie yun looks around a little worried. the windows and doors are shut.

'he must have sent a spy to slip a letter under my pillow.' thinks xie yun.

his thoughts are interrupted by the sudden opening of the door of his bedroom, prompting him to quickly hide the note under the pillow.

"your highness, you look pale. is everything alright?" asked lin.

"i am... just nervous for the bonfire tonight." said xie yun.

"oh, it's going to be lovely! you will be able to meet both lord shi ying and lord ji chong there." said lin.

'i feel a bit relieved that things have been back to normal with lord shi ying after the visit.' thinks xie yun.

"do you have plans for today that you need me to prepare you for during the day?" asked lin.

'i need to get ready for a hunting lesson with lord ji chong. but i can't let anyone know.' thinks xie yun.

"hmm... i will just take a walk by myself." said xie yun.

lin bows and exits.

xie yun with his bow nad arrows is standing in the backyard leading to the woods.

"hey, there there my highness." said ji chong.

his tall figure comes out of stables. his tan skin glowing in the sun. the same mischievous grin on his face xie yun saw when they met for the first time.

"hey to you, my lord." said xie yun.

"always call me ji chong. it feels more intimate that way." said ji chong.

xie yun smiles and his cheeks flush, fumbling with his arrows, nervously.

"i like when you blush, your highness. but be careful don't shoot me." said ji chong.

xie yun look up and see the naughty glint in his eyes.

"stay close to me. i don't want you to act rash like last time and hurt yourself. hunting isn't easy." said ji chong.

"i will follow my handsome teacher here." said xie yun.

ji chong chuckles.

xie yun go deep into the thick woods. bright sunlight filters through the leaves.

"i hear rustling in the bushes." said xie yun.

"you got sharp ears." said ji chong.

xie yun smiles at ji chong praising him. a grey rabbit hops out of the bushes, sniffing around it's vicinity.

"hide behind me, they are adapted to see very well." said ji chong.

xie yun feel his strong arm reach him on one side. they both are hiding behind a huge tree.

ji chong peeks behind his shoulder.

"good thing you are wearing the right outfit. it's adapted for a quick move. smart of you." said ji chong.

"so when do i get to shoot?" said xie yun.

"wow, you haven't practiced yet. just watch and learn for now. i don't want you to shooting me instead of the rabbit." said ji chong.

he smirks as he takes out his bow and arrow to aim at the rabbit. he shoots and hits it on the first try.

"you got it! but now i have to get ready for bonfire." said xie yun.

"yes we should." said ji chong.

after picking up the rabbit they both head their way  back to the castle.
