Xie yun hatch a plan to try to reconcile with both lords. When things don't go as planned. Will he be able to still resolve everything.

Xie yun has been back for a week and both of the lords are avoiding him.

"Lin, i must be a bad prince, making both lord so mad at me." Said xie yun.

"Perhaps they are still exhausted from the journey,  your highness. Give them some time." Said lin.

"Perhaps... but things were so horrible on the journey back. Lin, i just don't know what to do. I have been really attached to lord ji chong. I love how special he is, different from any royal men I've ever met. And that he is always teaching me something." Said xie yun.

"And I'm sure his rugged good looks don't hurt..." said lin.

"Yes... i wish i wouldn't have lied to him." Said xie yun.

The room goes silent for a moment. He walk over to the window and gaze out. His eyes scan over the supplies for tomorrow's hunt and he get an idea.

"Lin, i just thought of the best idea! I will join the hunt tomorrow. They wouldn't miss that because it's the most fun event of the year!" Said xie yun.

"You're right,  your highness. Every year the royal will contend to see who catch the most precious preys." Said lin.

"That person will be the most honored hunter!" Said xie yun.

He ride his horse into the courtyard where nobles and royal men were preparing their own horses.

"Not ready yet boys?" Said xie yun.

The men look around at each other in confusion.  Ji chong laughs.

"I should have expected you to turn up." Said ji chong.

Lord shi ying shakes his head but stays silent as he fixes his horse saddle.

'What has gotten into him? Why won't he speak with me?' Thinks xie yun.

"No question or comment,  lord shi ying? Maybe you're intimidated by me who doesn't immediately give in to your charms..." said xie yun.

Shi ying looks at him, confused. Like he has no idea what xie yun is talking about.

'What could he be so confused about?' Thinks xie yun.

He hears hooves approach his horse and turn to see ji chong standing next to his horse, reigns in his hand.

"You came to this hunt to talk to me?" Said ji chong.

"Would you believe me if i say yes?" Said xie yun.

Ji chong takes a sigh.

"... i thought we had a connection but now i don't know how much of that was even true." Said ji chong.

"My father was forcing me to go to the ball and the tournament to choose a husband. I am meant to choose what's best for the kingdom regardless of love." Said xie yun.

Ji chong shoots him a sympathetic look.

"Why are you sharing this with me?" Asked ji chong.

"That was the only lie i ever told you." Said xie yun.

Ji chong contemplates for a second.

"Perhaps i am a fool, but i am inclined to believe you." Said ji chong.

"Really?" Said xie yun.

"I have missed your company." Said ji chong.

"So i earned back your trust?" Said xie yun.
