The sun set above us. It was the end of class.

'Okay, class is over. Y'all can head home now.'  The physics teacher, Mr. Harold announced.

'Oh! Don't forget to do your homework! Page 219, 221, and 225 of your Physics workbook!' He could be such a bitch sometimes. All the projects and homework made me annoyed the fuck out.

Me and Louis headed out. During so, I ask him.

'Louis, do you notice anything...strange about Mrs. Sarah?'

'Wait, you feel it too? I thought it was just me. Yeah, it's like there's something missing about her, I can't tell what exactly though.'

I pondered on the thought. We both were suspicious on this so-called 'Mrs. Sarah.' A moment of silence passed before I finally spoke up.

'I have an idea. How about tomorrow, after math, I ask her some questions like questions I know the answer too?' I said, determined.

I have always been close to Mrs. Sarah.

'We could. What do you think happened to her? Do you know about doppelgängers? This could be a case like that.'

'Yeah, I've heard about them. I just know they're like replicas of yourself. I don't know much other than that though.'

'How about you stay over my house, Lucy? We need to do that stupid physics homework. Also, maybe research about doppelgängers. My parents are out of town. I don't know if yours would be okay with it though.'

I think, my dad is rarely home, mom's probably passed out drunk and.....yeah they definitely wouldn't give a single fuck if I was gone. But, I felt nervous. This was the first time I went to someone else's house that wasn't my family members. Against my better judgment, I decided to just go along with it.

'No, they wouldn't mind. They're really chill.' I say, with a tinge of sadness in my voice.

'Cool. Let's go, my house is not far from here.'

As we walk down the sidewalk, cars passing by us, the sun beamed on my skin. It was a hot, Wednesday afternoon. My skin flushed, oddly. It rarely does this. This definitely was not because of the sun. I look at Louis, his honey-tanned skin, blue eyes, dimples when he smiles. Do I have feelings for him? No, it couldn't be, right?

'Why are you looking at me like that, Lucy?' Louis said, smirking, looking as hot as ever.

'Oh..uh, nothing.'

A couple minutes pass by and we arrive on his house. From the outside, I could tell it was very nice.

'We're here. Open your shoes on the porch.'

I enter his house. It wasn't really big but it's pleasant. At least better than mine. It looks more modern, more clean-looking.

'Let's go to my room, up the stairs.' I follow quietly behind him, spotting the family photos and pictures of him as a baby. They look happy and kind, his mother and father that is. I wished I could say the same about mine.

We enter his room and I immediately see all the posters of Nirvana, Courtney Love, Paramore, even Fiona Apple. He has very good taste on music.

'Should we start the physics homework?' I say, with stars in my eyes.

Time pass by. It's around 3.25PM. We are a little bit halfway through the physics homework.

'Lucy, how about we take a little break and research more about doppelgängers?'

'Oh, sure.'

We started researching all over the internet. Wikipedia, e-book sites, just anything we could get our hands on.
