It was one of the days of their vacation, but the duo was up early but still in their rooms. Tej was ready to leave for the clinic, and entered Dev's room.
"You guys aren't together? What is Ansh's doing?" Said Tej to which Dev shrugged his shoulder without a word.
"Dev! Are you even listening to me?" Said Tej
"Yes, Bhai I am. And I don't know where he is." said Dev looking at his laptop
Tej sighed. "I am leaving." Said Tej And went out of the room.
"Hmm"
The duo spent their day in the room. Ansh came to Dev's room only find him busy and left. Soon it was lunch time when Ansh got time to talk to Dev
"Bhai!" Said Ansh serving himself
"Hmm" Said Dev taking his seat with the phone in his hand.
"Talk to me, you have been in the room the whole day" complained Ansh
"Please let me enjoy my vacation." Said Dev
"I want to enjoy mine with you" Said Ansh with a pout
"Come to room then, you stayed in yours the whole day too!" Said Dev
"Bhai! I did come to your room and found you busy, you didn't even respond" Said Ansh
"You did?" Asked dev, shocked because he hadn't seen him coming.
"Yes bhai! Please I am coming to your room after lunch, we'll play chess, may be have some chit chat." Said Ansh
"Yeah, okay!" Said Dev nodding turning his attention to his food.
Ansh came to Dev's room only to find him busy in his phone.
"Bhai! You told..." Said Ansh coming into the room
"When did I deny, come let's play" Said Dev opening the chess app on his phone.
"Bhai can we play real chess! Please!" Said Ansh looking at his phone
"It's the same! Isn't it?" Said Dev with a frown
"No, it's not." Said Ansh sitting down on the bed with a done face
"Hey, stop complaining. Would you like to start? Black or white?" Said Dev ignoring him and started the game.
It was only after one game Dev asked Ansh to leave and that was their last conversation before Tej arrived. Ansh ran to open the door as Dev was still in his room.
"Where is Dev?" Asked Tej entering the house as he saw Ansh
"In his room." Said Ansh
"Oh. Okay." Said Tej and walked towards his room
Ansh looked at Tej as if he wanted to tell something that he was refraining himself from telling.
"You want something?" Asked Tej
"Umm...no" Replied Ansh
"Tell me?" Asked Tej
"Bhai, bhai has been in his room all day, I mean... I am not complaining but I was all alone." Said Ansh
"Oh come on, he must be busy." Said Tej
"I don't think so." Said Ansh
"Don't think so much." Said Tej and went to his room
It wasn't until the next day, Tej realised what Ansh tried to say when Tej came to Dev's room to talk to him before leaving.
"Dev! See I have some work, I may be late today, and here, take this cash, give it to the delivery boy. I haven't paid it. Receive it and keep it somewhere safe, it has some delicate items." Said Tej as he was late and was leaving.
"And see as I will be late, lock all the gates before 9 pm. Okay?" Said Tej
Dev didn't look up all this time and was busy on his laptop.
"Dev!" Said Tej raising his voice a little.
"Bhai I know. I will." Said Dev
"How do you know, and what will you do?" Asked Tej as he doubted whether he understood what he was saying.
"Will receive." Said Dev
"And Give the money." Added Tej
"Hmm." Replied dev without even looking at him.
Tej sighed and left his room.
Ansh came and sat in Dev's room, but knew there was no chance to talk. After sometime the delivery boy arrived and delivered the item and the duo opened the door, shocked.
"Did you order something?" Said Dev shocked looking at Ansh
"No, I didn't. May be Bhai's." Said Ansh
"Hm.." Said Dev and received the package.
"Sir, how would you pay? Cash or online?" Said the Delivery boy.
The duo looked at each other confused.
"It's not paid?" He said looking at Ansh
"How do I know. Call bhai, ask him." Said Ansh.
Dev recalled that Tej came to his room and was telling something, which he could hardly remember now. And soon dialled Tej's Number. He was nervous as he had to ask something he had already been told.
"Bhai, you ordered something?" Asked Dev in a shuttering voice.
"Yes, I told you about it in the morning right?" Said Tej on the call.
"Yeah." Said Dev trying to remember what he had told
"Do we need to pay?" Asked Dev
"Why did I give you the money then? Where's that?" Said Tej raising his voice.
Dev without answering ran to his room only to find the notes all over his bed which he collected and fortunately were exactly what he had to pay the delivery boy, and he dared not to ask about it to Tej.
"Bhai I got it." He said collecting the notes.
"What happened to you, I told you everything in the morning, didn't I?" Said Tej before cutting the call.
"Yes bhai you did." Said Dev
"Hmm..okay, bye." Said Tej And cut the call
"What happened bhai?" Said Ansh as he was the one standing near the door with the delivery guy
"Bhai told me to pay this to the delivery guy but I think I forgot" Said Dev and made the payment to the delivery boy.
"You think ? You didn't even remember about the delivery guy let alone the payment." Said Ansh
"I think I didn't listen to him properly" Said Dev
"You're not even listening to me properly" Complained Ansh
"Hey what do you mean? I'm listening to you." Said Dev shocked.
"Oh really I told you to play with me and—" Said Ansh
"Oh please shut up." Said Dev
