chapter 5😍

I am closing my eyes and breathing. I love being outside in quiet. Obviously Eli does too because I swear we have been out here for an hour. I finally open my eyes and grab my phone.
Me: Jess did he also tell you he pushed me into a fucking vase! Maybe you should try with him, I know how 'stable' that'll be. Don't come after me because I got what you wanted all year.🤷🏼‍♀️
I sigh and close my phone and put it on my chest. This is why I never really liked Jess because she just gave off the bitchy vibe.
"Are you ready to get back inside? If anymore bugs crawl on me I might shoot myself." Eli laughs, sitting up and looking down at me.
He pulls my shirt down where my stomach could show and then I sit up. Eli kisses me and stands up and helps me get up.
"I want ice cream." I state, not even really saying it to Eli but more to myself because only I know how much of a big back I am.
"Then go sit in the car darlin, I'll go get my keys." Eli smiles.
I love his smile in the most unhealthy way.
"Ok." I say, walking to the car.
I get in and Eli is getting on the driver's side in a matter of minutes. He starts the car and pulls out of the driveway.
"So... Darlin tell me about yourself?" Eli grins.
"What's the point?" I laugh.
"I wanna know the bratty girl I'm babysitting." Eli teases.
"Well first I'm not bratty. And second rude!" I smile.
"I just wanna know you." Eli smiles, and his hand is on my thigh.
"Uhh... I love cats?" I say.
"Meh, I like them. Dogs are better protectors." Eli says, looking at me but then back at the road.
"Yea that is true but cats are so much quieter than dogs mostly and I like quiet. I can sit in silence and hear if anyone comes in so I can protect myself." I grin.
"Well I'll be damned, that's a good reason." Eli chuckles.
I smile and look at my phone.
Jess: HOW DARE YOU! ASH ALREADY TOLD ME HOW YOU WERE LYING ABOUT THAT. AND YOU KNEW I'VE LIKED HIM FOREVER AND THEN YOU GO AN HOOK UP!? IN WHAT WORLD IS THAT RIGHT?
Me: My world 🤗
       *You have blocked Jess*
We pull into the drive through and I ask for a regular vanilla shake with whipped cream and a cherry. And Eli gets a chocolate strawberry ice cream.
"I'll pay you back." I say, when we get back to the house.
"No need. My boss said to take care of you for the month so that's what I'm doing." Eli smiles.
"Well you've been taking very good care of me." I smirk, and run inside before he can grab me. He is still laughing when he walks through the door.
