Rayal's heart skipped a beat as he heard those words, his mind spinning with conflicting emotions. He wanted to believe that this was more than just a physical relationship, but he was afraid to hope for anything more.

"I don't know," he repeated, his voice barely above a whisper. "I just...I can't help but feel like this is too good to be true."

Atlas let out a frustrated growl, his fingers digging into Rayal's flesh. "Dammit, why do you have to be so stubborn?" he muttered, his voice filled with desire and impatience. "Can't you see that I want you? All of you. Not just your body, but your mind and your heart too?"

Rayal felt a shiver run down his spine at Atlas's words, his body responding involuntarily to the intensity in the mafia boss's tone. He wanted nothing more than to believe that Atlas meant what he was saying, that there was more to this than just a physical relationship.

But he was scared. Scared to let himself feel too much, scared to get hurt.

"I...I want to believe you," he whispered, his voice trembling. "But I'm scared."

Rayal's heart pounded in his chest as he spoke those words, the memories of his past relationship flooding back to him. He had been used and abused by his ex, and the thought of letting himself get hurt again was almost too much to bear.

He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to block out the memories. "I've been hurt before," he whispered, his voice filled with pain and vulnerability. "I can't go through that again."

Rayal's mind was transported back to a memory he had tried to bury for so long. Memories of his ex, Lhong, flooded his mind. Their relationship had been intense and passionate, but it had quickly turned toxic. Lhong had used Rayal's body and emotions to satisfy his own needs, leaving Rayal feeling empty and shattered.

Memories flashed through his mind like a montage - Lhong's cruel words and possessive behavior, the way he had controlled every aspect of Rayal's life, including his body. The way he had made Rayal feel like he was nothing more than a tool for his own pleasure.

The memories continued to flashback - Rayal could still remember the last time he had seen Lhong. It was a few months ago, and it had ended in a violent fight. Lhong had been in a rage, yelling and throwing things at Rayal, accusing him of being unfaithful. Rayal had tried to defend himself, to explain that he had been loyal to Lhong despite all he had put him through. But Lhong had refused to listen, and the fight had ended with Lhong hitting him and leaving him bruised and broken on the floor.

Rayal's mind was transported back to a horrible memory. His ex, Lhong, was standing in front of him, a cruel smile on his face.

"You're mine," he said, his voice dripping with possessiveness. "Your body belongs to me."

Rayal felt a shiver run down his spine, but he didn't say anything. He had been with Lhong for years, and he knew better than to protest.

Lhong grabbed Rayal by the chin, forcing him to look up at him. "You're nothing without me," he said, his grip tight on Rayal's face. "You belong to me. Your body, your mind, every part of you is mine."

Lhong's eyes roamed over Rayal's body, taking in every inch of him. "You're beautiful, you know that?" he said, his voice a low purr. "But you're also pathetic. Addicted to me, as if i am a drug."

Rayal felt a pang of shame at Lhong's words, but he didn't protest. He knew it was true. He was addicted to Lhong, even though he knew it was a toxic and unhealthy relationship.

Lhong seemed to sense Rayal's thoughts, and he chuckled. "You know you can't resist me," he whispered in Rayal's ear. "You'll come crawling back to me every time, no matter what I do to you. Because you love me. And you know that you need me."

Rayal felt tears prick at the corners of his eyes. He hated himself for feeling this way, for being so weak and vulnerable. But deep down, he knew Lhong was right. He was addicted to him, even though it was slowly destroying him.

"You're mine," Lhong repeated, his voice growing louder and more possessive. "And you'll do whatever I say, whenever I say it. Because you belong to me. Because I own you."

Rayal knew he should protest, should fight back against Lhong's words. But he couldn't bring himself to do it. He was too weak, too addicted to Lhong's control.

Lhong seemed to sense Rayal's defeat, and a smug smile spread across his face. "See? You know I'm right," he said, his tone victorious. "You're nothing without me. Just a toy for me to play with, a slave to my every command."

Lhong slid his hand down Rayal's body, his touch possessive and rough. "Your body is mine," he whispered, his breath hot against Rayal's skin. "I'll do whatever I want to it, whenever I want to. And you'll let me, because you know you can't resist me. You're weak, pathetic, addicted to me. And I love it."

*END OF FLASHBACK*

Rayal blinked as he returned to the present, the memories of his past relationship still fresh in his mind. He could feel the trauma and pain from those experiences weighing heavily on him, making it difficult to trust and open up again.

He looked up at Atlas, who was watching him with a mixture of desire and concern in his eyes. He wanted to believe that this was different, that Atlas wasn't using him the same way Lhong had. But the fear and self-doubt clawed at his insides, making him hesitant to let himself fall.

"Rayal," Atlas said, his voice soft and gentle. "I need you to be honest with me. How are you feeling right now?"

Rayal took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. "I...I don't know," he admitted, his voice trembling. "I'm scared. I'm afraid that this is just another game to you, like it was with..." He trailed off, unable to say Lhong's name.

Atlas's expression softened again. "Rayal," he repeated, "I need you to talk to me. Tell me what's going on in that head of yours."

Rayal took a shaky breath, trying to pull himself together. He hadn't mentioned Lhong's name to Atlas, but the memories of his past relationship were still fresh in his mind. The trauma and pain he had endured at Lhong's hands still haunted him, making it difficult to trust and open up to someone else.

He felt a wave of embarrassment wash over him as he realized how vulnerable he must have seemed to Atlas. He felt like he was just making a big deal out of nothing, like he was just being paranoid and untrusting for no reason.

Rayal shuddered, feeling Atlas's intense gaze on him. He didn't want to open up, to reveal his vulnerable side to the other man. But something about Atlas's tone made him feel safe, made him want to open up.

"I...I don't know," he said, his voice trembling. "I'm scared. I'm afraid of getting hurt again."
