Nikshant's pov:
I left the room. I can hear her sobbing from behind, but I ignored it. I don't fucking care if she cries or does anything else.
I walked straight out of the house, got into the car, and drove away.
I need to calm the storm inside me, and there's only one thing that can do that: alcohol.
My car stopped in front of the club, and I got out and went inside. Once inside, I headed straight to the bar counter and sat on one of the chairs there.
The bartender gave me whiskey, and I gulped it down.
"Ohh, I didn't know Nikshant Roy Kapoor would be in a club instead of spending his wedding night at home," I turned around and saw Yash approaching the bar counter.
"That's none of your business," I said sternly.
"It is my business because, no matter what, you're my best friend," Yash said.
"Did you do the task I asked?" I changed the topic.
"I told Ravi, but he's busy with other work right now. Besides, he's coming to India in a month," Yash said casually.
"I don't have a month. Every time I see my so-called wife, those photos come to my mind," I said.
"You have to wait and don't do anything rash that you'll regret later and won't be forgiven for," I chuckled at his words.
"Nikshant Roy Kapoor never regrets anything he does, and as for asking for forgiveness, Nikshant Roy Kapoor neither asks for nor will ever ask for forgiveness from anyone," I said.
"Such arrogance isn't good, Nikshant. This very arrogance might be your downfall," Yash said.
"Forget all this. Go home now, it's very late," Yash said.
I nodded.
"And yes, as I said before and I'm saying it again, bhabhi didn't do it," Yash said.
"How do you know she didn't do it?" I asked.
"Because she has an innocence on her face that no girl has these days," Yash said.
"Ohh, so now that girl has cast her spell on you too," I said sarcastically.
"Bhabhi hasn't cast any spell. I just told you what I felt. Now do whatever you want," Yash said and left the club.
"I shouldn't have called him. He just gave me a lecture," I said and got up from the chair and walked out of the club.
When I reached home, I went upstairs and headed to another room.
My eyes fell on my room, whose door was open. I peeked in and saw Aaravi sleeping on the floor. I went into the room, sat in front of her, and started looking at her face closely.
She is indeed beautiful.
If she had told me before the wedding, there wouldn't be a trace of pain on her face today.
I picked her up in my arms, laid her down properly on the bed, and then left the room and went into another room.
When I came into the room, I changed out of my sherwani and put on trousers, leaving my upper body bare. I lay down on the bed, closed my eyes, and started recalling that day.
