"Enjoy your honeymoon, sweetheart, because now you won’t enjoy a bit… because I will cage you in my life forever."

The words bled across the paper—literally. Written in what looked unmistakably like blood. Still wet. Fresh.

Aaravi’s breath hitched.

The letter slipped from her fingers and fluttered to the floor like a curse taking flight.

Her body froze.

Her hands—clammy and trembling—gripped the edge of the bench for support as a wave of nausea rolled through her. Her legs shook beneath her like they couldn’t carry her weight anymore. Her heart pounded so hard, it echoed in her ears. Her chest rose and fell in uneven gasps, panic tightening its hold around her like invisible chains.

It was winter.

But her skin burned.

Sweat trickled down her temples, soaked her back, clung to her palms. Her throat felt parched, her tongue heavy.

Who wrote this?

How do they know?

How do they know I’m married?

Her mind spun with questions she had no answers to.

Her eyes darted around the classroom—searching, desperate. Looking for anything… anyone… a face staring a second too long, a smirk, a glance.

But no one was looking at her.

Everyone seemed lost in their world—laughing, scrolling on their phones, chatting. And she was the only one drowning in this nightmare.

Her phone vibrated.

A single notification.

She stared at the screen, heart already bracing for the worst. With trembling hands, she unlocked it.

ANONYMOUS:
“Oh sweetheart, don’t bother looking around… because you won’t find me anywhere.”

Her throat tightened. Tears welled up in her eyes—not of sadness, but pure, gut-wrenching fear.
