“Adie…” I trailed when he answered my call.
“What?”
Natawa ako kasi mukhang alam niyang may kailangan na naman ako sa kaniya.
“I have a favor to ask. HE-HE-HE.”
There was a pause on the other line before he exhaled a sigh and said, “Who is it this time?”
This guy knew me so well.
“Basta.” I clicked my tongue, refusing to divulge what—or who—Julian is.
“Your potential fuck buddy?” This guy and his filthy mouth talaga.
“What? No! Grabe, ha!”
“You only have someone investigated if he's your potential fu-bu. So it’s either this someone is a potential fuck buddy or an enemy. I hope not the latter, although I won’t prefer the former, too.”
I rolled my eyes at his litany.
“Calm your tits, Ades. He was just a guy I’m curious about. That’s all. For a change, he’s not my potential fuck buddy. . . at least not yet.” I cringed at the words because I couldn’t imagine Julian being that, with his cold persona and all.
“Really?” He sounded disbelieving.
“Uh-huh.”
“If he’s someone you want to be serious about, I refuse. Get to know the person personally.”
My mouth went agape at what he said.
“Adie! I told you, no! I thought bros for life? That’s literally the oath we swore when we got the matching lotus tattoo with Enzo!” I needed to use this bro-card this time.
"And you'll just find his socials, noh! Couldn't find it. The man is so private!"
I heard him groan and I smiled. “Dramatic. Fine.”
I squealed, laughing. I knew it. Hindi niya talaga ako matitiis.
“What do I get in return for this?”
I gasped, feigning shock.
“Is your kindness not free?”
“Nothing in this world is free, honey.” On normal days, I’d rebuke his statement. We just like to argue and banter because why not? It’s fun arguing with your friends!
I sighed dramatically which I knew will annoy him further. “Okay, what is it?” I said in my most paawa effect, the one that always win my parents’ permission.
“I’ll think about it. When do you need this?”
“No pressure naman. . . but ASAP, if kaya.”
“And you said no pressure.” I laughed. Silly guy.
"Whenever you're free. HI-HI-HI."
"K."
I chuckled. "Love you, Ades." I made a kissing sound before I hung up the call.
Julian Augustus, I'll find your socials, you see.
