My identity is a body of water

Fluid, ever-changing, yet stubborn
I am a pond, a pool devoid of fish
Drowned in expectations, a girl
But what even is a girl in the
wider scheme of things? I
wish I could be anything, I bet
a frog is not expected to dress
"proper" and speak softly
People wouldn't think twice
if I lash out at them, jump
like I was threatened, caged
I am unpredictable like
the sea, calm and stoic with
a storm bubbling beneath
I am the whirlwind taking
everything (and everyone)
down with me. I have
free will, yet gravitating
towards rules and norms
I am the ocean, all-encompassing
The historian, logician,
philosopher, and author
I am nothing and everything
I am fickle yet persistent in my will
I am what both you and I
can never comprehend:
I am me.
