Nora had barely settled back into her Los Angeles routine when Zac suggested a weekend getaway. She welcomed the idea; after the tumultuous weeks in Morocco and the emotional strain of her mother's illness, a romantic escape sounded perfect.

"Pack your bags, but don't ask questions," Zac said with a playful wink.

Nora smiled, her curiosity piqued. "Can you at least tell me if it's warm or cold?"

"Warm enough for a swimsuit," he replied with a grin, kissing her on the forehead.

The following morning, they drove along the Pacific Coast Highway, the sun casting a golden glow over the ocean. Zac had rented a cozy beach house in Malibu, complete with a private stretch of sand and panoramic views of the Pacific.

"This is beautiful, Zac," Nora said, looking around in awe as they pulled up to the house.

"I'm glad you like it," Zac replied, taking her hand and leading her inside.

The beach house was everything she could have hoped for: rustic yet luxurious, with large windows that offered stunning views of the ocean. Zac had even arranged for a chef to prepare their meals, allowing them to fully relax and enjoy each other's company.

On their first evening, they walked hand in hand along the beach as the sun set, painting the sky in shades of pink and orange. Nora felt a deep sense of peace and contentment. Being with Zac, away from the hustle and bustle of their daily lives, was exactly what she needed.

After dinner, Zac suggested they take a walk on the beach again. The night was cool, the air filled with the soothing sound of waves crashing against the shore.

As they strolled along the moonlit beach, Zac suddenly stopped and turned to face her. He took both of her hands in his, his eyes filled with a mix of love and nervous anticipation.

"Nora," he began, his voice soft but steady. "From the moment I met you, I knew there was something special about you. You've brought so much joy and light into my life, and I can't imagine my future without you in it."

Nora's heart began to race as she realized what was happening. Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked into Zac's earnest face.

"I love you more than words can express," Zac continued, dropping to one knee and pulling out a small velvet box from his pocket. "Will you marry me?"

Nora's breath caught in her throat as she looked down at the beautiful ring he held out to her. It was a delicate band with a sparkling diamond, elegant and perfect, just like their love.

"Yes!" she cried, tears streaming down her cheeks. "Yes, Zac, I will marry you!"

Zac slipped the ring onto her finger, then stood up and pulled her into a tight embrace

Zac slipped the ring onto her finger, then stood up and pulled her into a tight embrace. They kissed passionately, the world around them fading into the background. It was just the two of them, bound by their love and commitment.

"I love you, Nora," Zac whispered, his voice filled with emotion.

"I love you too, Zac," she replied, feeling a profound sense of happiness and contentment.

The next morning, they shared the news with Zac's family. They drove to his parents' house, where Starla and David were waiting. Nora couldn't contain her excitement as she showed them her ring.

"Oh my goodness, it's beautiful!" Starla exclaimed, hugging Nora tightly. "Welcome to the family, officially!"

David shook Zac's hand, pulling him into a hug. "You've got a good one, son. Congratulations."

They spent the afternoon celebrating with Zac's family, the house filled with laughter and joy. That evening, they called Nora's family in France. Her mother, still recovering but in good spirits, was overjoyed by the news.

"Nora, ma chérie, I'm so happy for you!" her mother exclaimed. "I can't wait to meet Zac in person and welcome him into our family."

Her sisters cheered and congratulated them, already discussing plans for a visit to Los Angeles.

The next day, Nora invited her best friend, Samy Jo, to fly out to LA. She was eager to introduce him to Zac and share the exciting news in person. When Samy Jo arrived, Nora greeted him with a huge hug, practically bouncing with excitement.

"Samy Jo, I have something to show you," she said, holding out her hand to reveal the engagement ring.

Samy Jo's eyes widened, and a huge grin spread across his face. "No way! Congratulations, Nora! This is amazing!"

"Thank you," Nora replied, beaming. "I can't wait for you to meet Zac. He's wonderful."

The three of them spent the day exploring Los Angeles, visiting some of Nora's favorite spots. Samy Jo and Zac hit it off immediately, bonding over their shared interests and mutual affection for Nora.

Later, as they sat on the rooftop terrace of Nora and Zac's apartment, enjoying the view of the city lights, Samy Jo turned to Nora. "I'm really happy for you, Nora. You deserve all the happiness in the world."

Nora squeezed his hand, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you, Samy Jo. Having you here means so much to me."

Taking a deep breath, Nora looked into Samy Jo's eyes. "There's something else I want to ask you, Samy Jo."

His eyebrows raised in curiosity. "What is it?"

"Would you do me the honor of being my man of honor at the wedding?" Nora asked, her voice trembling slightly with emotion.

Samy Jo's face lit up with joy. "Oh my God, Nora! Of course, I will! It would be an honor!"

They hugged tightly, both of them a little teary-eyed. "I wouldn't want anyone else by my side," Nora said, her voice muffled against his shoulder.

Their engagement soon became public, with news outlets and social media buzzing about the latest celebrity couple. Fans and colleagues alike sent their well-wishes, and the couple found themselves navigating a new wave of media attention.

Despite the increased scrutiny, Nora and Zac remained focused on each other and their future. They began planning their wedding, discussing everything from the venue to the guest list. The excitement and joy of their engagement overshadowed any challenges, and they embraced the journey ahead with open hearts.

One evening, as they sat together on their couch, Nora resting her head on Zac's shoulder, she sighed contentedly. "I still can't believe we're getting married. It feels like a dream."

"It's a dream come true," Zac replied, kissing the top of her head. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

"Me too," Nora said softly, feeling a profound sense of happiness and anticipation.

As they continued to plan their wedding and dream about their future, Nora and Zac knew that their love had already overcome so much. They were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, confident in their commitment to each other and the strength of their bond.

Their journey had been filled with ups and downs, but through it all, their love had only grown stronger. With their families, friends, and each other by their side, they looked forward to a future filled with love, laughter, and endless possibilities.
