[HEAVY ANGST!!! And abusive Valentino AU. This is after they break up FYI]
It'd been a long day of work, and Vox had just gotten to the penthouse. He walked through it, not even greeting Velvette, the only other Vee. He walked into his room, shutting and locking the door behind him. He shut the curtains before pushing the dresser in front of the door, blocking it off with a thud.
"Vox, love, you alright in there?" Velvette asked, concern flooding into her voice.
"Hm? I'm fine. Just... taking a nap?" He clearly wasn't telling the truth.
"Can you come out here, I wanna hang out with you."
"Vel, please..."
"Then open the door."
"No?" Vox spoke, as he shuffled under his bed, hand grabbing hold of a knife. He shuffled out from under the bed, staring at his unwell reflection in the blade.
"Why not?" She said, now using bobby-pin to pick the lock on the door, worry flooding her voice. Vox was caught self harming before, and be god, if he was caught again.
"Because, I don't want to?" He said, breath shaking as he pressed the knife up against his chest. He jabbed it deep, just as the dresser moved with the door, Velvette running in. He was leaning against the bed, bleeding out. Velvette rushed to his side, pressing a hand against his wound. Vox winced, pushing Velvette's hand away weakly.
Velvette looked at Vox. He looked back at her, a weakly feigned smile on his screen. Her eyes welled with tears and her brow furrowed as she picked up her phone. Blood pooled around Vox, touching Velvette's knees, soaking into the fabric.
"I'm sorry Vel... I love you.." He said, a bittersweet smile on his lips. He slowly blinked as his body went limp. The last thing in his blurry vision being Velvette, screaming.
"YOU BETTER NOT F-FUCKING DIE ON ME, YOU ASSHOLE!"
