Kidnapping

Thursday, June 17th, 2021, 6pm (LA)

"Eric we are back." Lily opens the front door and throws her bag into the kitchen. "Babe, can you help me with these bags." Amelia says following Lily.

The emptiness of the apartment sends a weird vibe down both of their spines. "He must have gone somewhere." Lily says but Amelia notices something on the floor. As she gets closer, she realises it was Eric's ring. "No, no no no." She grabs the ring and stands up. "I was thinking we coul..." Lily stops mid-sentence. "Why have you got Eric's ring?" She asks.

"I need to call the captain." Amelia rushes over to the bags and shuffles through until she finds her phone. "Why have you got his ring." She repeats. Her older sister dials the number and turns around to face Lily.

"Captain Martinez, Officer Darling has been taken."

Thursday, June 17th, 2021, 7pm (LA)

"What is your favourite colour?" Abigail asks as she straps Eric to a chair. "Abigail, I promise you. James was the one who was part of the cartel." Standing up she punches him. "Ow."

"James was not part of the cartel." She says stomping her feet. Picking up a gun Abigail walks closer and closer to him. Lifting his chin she strokes his face.
"You are very pretty." She laughs. "I now know why Amelia likes you." Eric laughs a little. "Yeah, she will also like it if I am alive."

Abigail walks towards the door. "There are three guys here. One upstairs, One round the corner and one by the back door." He looks at her confused. "Amelia will never find you." She chuckles before leaving. "What the fuck is wrong with that girl." Eric says to himself. He notices a reflection walk the other direction.

Thursday, June 17th, 2021, 8:30pm (LA)

"Do we have any idea who could have taken him?" The captain says sitting down at her desk. "My guess is Abigail." Detective Parker steps forwards. "How do we find her? She could be anywhere right now." Amelia looks at her Captain.
"I want Officer Mills and Detective Parker to go back to the complex and interview everybody." Captain Martinez turns towards Lily and the Sargent. "Sargent Johnson please escort Miss Mills home."
"No offence ma'am, but I do not want Lily alone during all of this" Amelia says. "I can go to Dylan's." Lily smiles.

"Escort Miss Mills to her neighbour." The captain adds. As Lily leaves Martinez turns and notices the worried looks on Amelia's face. "Officer Mills we will find Officer Darling."

She looks down and fiddles with his ring. "Abigail could be anywhere right now." Detective Parker puts his hand on her shoulder. She slowly looks up and makes eye contact with him.

"We have so many Officers currently on route looking for him. A missing Officer is a big deal." Amelia smiles. "She will not be getting out of LA tonight." She smiles. "Trust me."

Thursday, June 17th, 2021, 9pm (LA)

"Shit." Abigail shouts slamming the front behind her. "Hello Abbie." She turns to look at Eric. With every footstep she takes the angrier and scared she becomes.
Abigail grabs a knife and puts it close to his neck. "Call me that name one more time." His eyes slowly fall to the floor. A red liquid spills all over the floor. "Are you hurt?" He asks remaking eye contact.

"Why do you care." The knife still hovering over his neck. "Let me help you." He smiles. "Eric let me remind you, I have a knife hovering over your throat." Abigails hands become shaky. "I am an officer; I am forced to help everybody I can, no matter the situation."

The knife slowly lowers to his wrist. There she cuts the rope setting free his left hand. During this she cuts his wrist. "Ow." He says staring at her. All Abigail can focus on is setting him free.

"Where is your bandages?" Abigail starts to laugh. "What do I look like a hospital." As she says this a lightning bolt of pain shoots up her body causing her to fall to the ground. "I mean a hospital does not sound like a bad idea." He stands up taking the rope off his ankles. She turns to her guards to signal them to walk over. Their guns all focused on Eric. "I need one of you with him. The other two with me."
The two pick her up and walk her towards the car. Another keeps Eric inside. "Hey!" He shouts. "Sorry change off plans." The other man hits Eric over the head.
Everything goes black.

Friday, June 18th, 2021, 6am (LA)

"Officer Mills you have been awake all night. I think you need to go home." A phone starts to ring in the other room. This is weird because there is only two here right now. Who will be ringing?
Captain Martinez stares at Amelia. "It could be Abigail." She quickly stands up and runs towards the phone and enthusiastically picks up the phone. "Hello?"

A couple of seconds' passes. "No Detective Parker is not here." Before she could finish her sentence, the person on the other side rushes in. "I will tell him." She ends the phone and slams in onto the table.

"They just wanted to tell him that his divorce has gone through." She clears her throat before the phone rings again. "I swear to god." Amelia grabs the phone again and picks it up.

"Amelia?" A pleading voice cries out. "Holy shit Eric are you ok, are you hurt." The captain rushes over and connects the computer to the line. Clicking record she hears everything she says for 2 minutes. "Abigail has gone to the hospital. I am inside a house about 20 minutes away from the house. She has three guards. Two looks like her which makes me suspect they are her brothers. Tall, Brunette, one has a scar like mine." She quickly starts to write down all this information. "The other one is upstairs right now, which makes me presume asleep. Black, Shaved head and huge."
A loud bang is heard than the line cuts.

"Eric." Amelia shouts. "Shit." She cries looking at the captain. "I will call a meeting and tell the officers to track the location off the call."

Amelia looks at him. "What about Abigail?" Her captain looks at her. "We will sort her out" Martinez smiles.
