Alec left the bathroom after getting ready for bed. Upon entry to the main room, he heard soft sobs. This immediately worried Alec, he turned to see Fiore under the covers. As soon as he sat down on the bed next to her, the crying stopped. Alec lifted the blanket to see Fiore in a pool of her own tears. This shocked him, he had never seen her cry before, or really get upset for that matter.
"Fiore? Are you alright?" Alec asked, genuinely concerned. Fiore sniffed and turned her face away from him.
"Shut up! I'm fine!" Fiore replied, her voice clearly shaky. Alec knew she was lying.
"Fiore. You aren't okay. Why are you crying? You can tell me. I'm not mad at you anymore." Alec stated, trying to get Fiore to trust him.
"Why would I tell you!? You wouldn't care anyway!" Fiore yelled. Alec sighed.
"I do care. Seeing you cry is concerning, especially considering you're the same girl that claimed feelings are for weak people." He explained.
"THEY ARE!" Fiore screamed. Alec was shocked. "EVERY SINGLE FUCKING ADULT IN MY LIFE HAS PROVEN THAT! WHY WOULD YOU BE ANY DIFFERENT!?" Fiore yelled. Alec was speechless, He'd never seen Fiore lash out like that.
"Fiore...Feelings aren't for weak people. They're what make you human." Alec replied, trying to calm Fiore down.
"SHUT UP!" Fiore screamed. She pulled the covers over her head once again. Alec sighed and got under the covers himself, he feel asleep after a while.Alec got woken up at around 3:15 am, at first he was annoyed, but after a few seconds he heard Fiore crying again.
"Fiore-...are you sure you're alright?" After he spoke, he could see the covers moving, Alec lifted them up to see Fiore. Her eyes completely red, tears streaming down her face.
"Fuck you!" Fiore yelled, her voice shaky. She got out of bed and ran to the bathroom. Alec watched as she ran off, a wave of genuine parental concern washing over him. Fiore never cried. What was going on all of a sudden? What could make Fiore sad? After a while, Fiore finally left the bathroom. She kept her head pointed towards the floor, she refused to look Alec in the eyes after he saw her cry.
"Fiore..." Alec started, "You don't need to hide your emotions from me. I know how that feels all too well. For Christs sake, you're a child. This isn't healthy." Alec stated. Fiore looked him in the eye and said:
"Alec. You know nothing about how I feel. Shut up." Fiore got back into bed and went to sleep. Alec sighed, he knew Fiore was a tough nut to crack when it came to emotions. But he had never seen her cry before and he needed to know how he could help. He felt guilty, for some reason. Like caring for her was his responsibility. Or maybe, he's trying to find some way to keep his soul at peace after how awfully he treated his own son. His real son. Alec eventually fell back asleep.
