As the same words kept repeating in Fiore's head, she realized something. Tess was right. Fiore had just been too stubborn to admit it. Typical. Fiore sighed, it seemed like the only thing she was good at was being wrong. She doubted that'd ever change. Fiore snapped back to reality when Alec asked her a question.
"Fiore? There's a trivia event happening soon. Would you like to join me?" Alec asked. Fiore thought for a moment.
"Sure! It could be fun." She replied. Alec nodded. "When is it?" Fiore asked.
"It starts in about an hour." Alec replied.
"Guess we have some time to kill." Fiore said. Alec nodded.
"Well, what should we do?" Alec asked.
"Hmmmm...how about we play a card game?" Fiore suggested.
"Good idea." Alec replied. Fiore smiled. The two pulled out the deck of cards and played war. They were having a great time together. Soon, the hour had passed.
"Fiore, the trivia event is starting soon. We should go." Alec said. Fiore nodded.
"Let's go!" She said excitedly. The two walked out of their room, and outside to where the Trivia Night was being held. Marcus and Nina were the hosts. Connor and Yul were already sitting there, waiting for the game to begin. Fiore and Alec took their seats beside each other and began waiting for the game to begin.
"Alright. Trivia Night is starting now!" Marcus announced. Everyone perked up, ready for the first question. "What year did World War II end?" Marcus asked.
"1945." Alec replied.
"Correct!" Nina exclaimed. Alec smiled. Fiore looked up at him.
"That was the first question! Isn't the first question supposed to be easy!?" She whispered. Alec looked at her, an unamused expression on his face.
"That was easy..." He replied. Fiore crossed her arms.
"Alright, next question...What is the center of an atom called?" Marcus asked.
"Is it...the Nucleus?" Connor replied.
"Correct!" Nina said. Connor smiled.
"Nice one, Connor." Alec said.. . .
"Alrighty friends, Trivia Night is almost over." Marcus said.
"Some of you were smart but most were morons!" Nina teased. Nobody looked amused.
"Next question...What was the name of the battle during the Civil War in 1863?" Marcus asked.
"The Battle of Gettysburg." Alec replied.
"Correct! Another point for Alec!" Nina exclaimed.
"UGH! How does he know everything!?" Yul complained.
"Try picking up a book once in a while." Alec replied. Fiore snickered. Yul rolled his eyes.
"Next question...What is the powerhouse of the cell?" Marcus asked. Fiore pulled out a phone she somehow got her hands on. She typed something into Google before answering.
"The Mitochondria!" Fiore called out.
"Ding ding ding! Wow! Point for Fiore!" Nina said.
"Hey! I saw that! You cheated." Yul commented.
"Mind your own business, mushroom muncher!" Fiore yelled. Yul grabbed her arm. Fiore was shocked. "Wha—" Fiore said before being cut off.
"Back off Yul." Alec said, while shooing him away from Fiore. Fiore stuck out her tounge to tease him. "And give me that!" Alec said, taking her phone.
"Hey!" She yelled.
"Cheaters never win Fiore. At least, not against me." Alec replied.
"You used to be cool!" Fiore teased. Suddenly, Tom walked by.
"Hey y'all! Soups on!" He exclaimed.
"Thank god! I'm starving!" Fiore yelled. Everyone got up and began walking to the dinner table.Everyone was eating their food, and as always, Yul started complaining.
"What the hell is this, Tom!? These burgers are terrible!" Yul shouted. He was yet again making a fuss over every minor inconvenience.
"I'm no grill-master. It was Grett." Tom replied.
"Then I'm gonna give her a piece of my mind!" Yul said, standing up. Tom was going to stop him, but Gabby stopped Tom.
"Let Grett have her fun!" She said, smiling villainously.
"Grett! What's with these burgers!?" Yul shouted.
"Hey Yul! How's the food?" Grett replied.
"I knew grilling was a man's job! Get the hell out of here! I'll do it." Yul said, grabbing the spatula out of Grett's hand. He began walking towards the grill, but Grett put her foot in front of him and tripped him. He fell face first onto the grill. Ouch. "AAAAAHHHHHHH!! FUUUCCCCKK!!" He screamed before running and dunking his, now very burned, face in the pool. Fiore tried to watch but Alec covered her eyes with his hand. She was annoyed.
