The chance encounter at the mall had left Felix with a mix of emotions swirling within him. As he and his friends bid farewell to Hyunjin, Changbin, and Minho, they continued their shopping spree with renewed energy and excitement.
"So, what do you think?" Jisung asked Felix as they browsed through a rack of ties in a nearby department store. "Meeting Hyunjin again... it seemed different, didn't it?"
Felix nodded thoughtfully, running his fingers over the silky fabric of a burgundy tie. "Yeah, it did," he admitted quietly. "I didn't expect to see him there."
Sengmin joined them, holding up a pair of cufflinks. "He seemed... genuinely glad to see you," he remarked, a hint of curiosity in his voice.
Jeongin, flipping through a rack of dress shirts nearby, chimed in. "Maybe things aren't as tense between you two as before," he suggested optimistically.
Felix considered their words, his mind drifting back to the easy camaraderie they had shared at the mall. Despite their past misunderstandings, there had been a sense of warmth and understanding in their brief interaction-a reminder of the connection they had once shared.
Later that evening, as Felix unpacked his newly purchased outfit for prom, his thoughts kept drifting back to Hyunjin. He wondered what their next encounter would bring, whether they could bridge the gap that had grown between them.
The week leading up to prom flew by in a whirlwind of final exams, last-minute preparations, and lingering anticipation. Felix found himself looking forward to the event with a mixture of excitement and nerves, unsure of what the night would hold.
On the day of prom, Felix stood before the mirror in his dorm room, adjusting his dress with careful fingers. The deep blue dress he had chosen complemented his complexion, and he couldn't help but feel a surge of confidence as he checked his reflection one last time.
"You look great, Felix," Jisung remarked from the doorway, a grin spreading across his face. "Ready to dance the night away?"
Felix nodded, a smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, I think so," he replied, the butterflies in his stomach fluttering with anticipation.
As they made their way to the venue, Felix couldn't shake the thought of seeing Hyunjin again. Would tonight be the opportunity they needed to clear the air between them? Or would their encounter only deepen the complexities of their relationship?
