ミ★ Today is the game against Baylor. Me, Navia and brandon are gonna be supporting Juju from our comfy couch in our big living room. We decided not to go to Oregon cause Navia is sick as hell and juju wanted us to stay and tend to the sickly girl.
"this is the sweet sixteen right?" Navia's raspy and tired voice spoke up as the game showcased on the screen. her body was laying across brandon and I's lap.
"yeah, and if they win this, they gone go to the elite eight and play against Uconn." Brandon answered, rubbing his girlfriend natural hair.
navia hummed, "well they better win. cause i wanna meet that KK Arnold girl on Uconn, she funny as hell."
i playfully rolled my eyes and flicked her foot, "of course you do, yall act just alike." i said and i softly tapped her butt which made Brandon scrunch his face up.
"don't start that gay shit, i see enough of it when juju here," Navia and i just waved him off and put our attention to the tv. they were calling out the starting five, and when i heard my baby's name my eyes stayed glued to the tv.
my face grew hot when i saw her slap hands with her teammates and jog over to dap up the coaches, i sighed dreamily.
"imma send this to juju when the game over," i heard brandon say, i turned and saw him holding his phone up recording me, "guh sighed like she in heaven or something," his country accent popped out, he sounded like a hillbilly.
the game started, and i was trying to keep up with them, but i still, still, STILL don't understand the game of basketball for real. i mean, juju taught me what a foul is and a bunch of other stuff like positions but thats all i remember.
