Chapter 26

Hey guys, I'm gonna try writing this chapter a little differently so please let me know if it sucks or not.

Jeremy, Tyler and Athena were sitting in the restaurant waiting for Nik and Stefan. As they were talking quietly to each other about what this abrupt meeting could be about the two men in question walked up to the table.

Klaus pulled Stefan's chair out for him before sitting down himself, "Have you guys ordered drinks yet?" He asked us.

Athena shook her head, "We were waiting for you to arrive." He flagged the waiter down so that they could put their drink orders in.

They sat there for a moment in silence before Tyler broke it, "Why are we here Klaus?" He asked.

Klaus and Stefan shared a look before Stefan spoke, "We have some exciting news. We are getting married." He said and waited for the squeals that never left Athena's mouth. She was in shock. She didn't know how to react at the moment, not having expected this because of what is going on with the family.

"Sister please say something," Klaus pleaded her.

"Athena?" Tyler laid his hand on her shoulder, "Are you alright?" He asked her.

She shook her head finally coming to her senses, "I'm alright, just trying to wrap my head around the fact that my brother and best friend are getting married. Oh and the fact that I have a niece or nephew on the way. This is all just a little bit more than I can wrap my head around." She said and downed her drink in one gulp.

"What is there to wrap your head around? Do you not want us to get married? Is there something you aren't telling me?" Stefan fired questions at me like it was a rapid fire.

She shook her head, "Stefan there is nothing I want more than for both of you to be happy. I'm just worried about all the other things that we have going on." She sighed before downing her drink that the server sat down when she started talking.

"There is something that you aren't telling us, Athena. Now, we made a pact a long time ago to not keep things from each other. Tell us whatever it is." Stefan pleaded with his best friend.

Athena looked at Klaus, "Do you remember when I was telling you and Elijah about the dream that I had?" She asked him.

Klaus pulled a confused look, "What does that have to do with us getting married?" He asked her.

Athena shook her head and sighed, "Not with you two getting married you dimwit, with your child coming. The voice said that she is coming and if I'm being honest Nik, I don't want to know what that entails." She said to him.

Nik didn't know what to say to her after that, he just sat there lost in thought even when the meal came. They didn't say anything else the rest of the dinner, and by the time they walked through the door Tyler and Jeremy were tired of the silence. "Why didn't you tell us about the damn dream when you had it, Athena?" Tyler all but yelled out when they reached their shared room.

"Not now Tyler." She said walking into the closet.

Jeremy sighed, "I think now is the perfect time. We asked you to tell us about it and you brushed it off like it wasn't a big deal. I get that you want to protect us, but we aren't helpless when it comes to helping you protect our child or even Nik's child." Jeremy told her, trying not to yell like Tyler did.

Athena walked out of the closet now dressed in her pajamas, "I didn't tell you because at the time I didn't think it was necessary. I didn't want to think about the fact that my future niece or nephew is in trouble." She said to them in an almost broken tone. She didn't know how much more she could take of this feeling before she had to let it all out. She didn't want to yell at her spouses anymore than they wanted to yell at her.

Tyler grabbed one of her hands while Jeremy grabbed the other, "We are going to get past this together. If someone or something is coming for that baby then by god we will protect it with our lives, but in order for us to do that we have to be honest with each other." Tyler told her.

"He's right baby, we have to know when you have a dream and what it's about in order for us to be able to keep us safe." Jeremy said to her and kissed her on the cheek, "How about we go check on our daughter?" He asked them.

The two nodded so they walked down the hall to her door, and knocked on it. They all heard the come in then a giggle, and opened it seeing Davina and Kai sitting on the bed laughing at some movie that was playing.

"We just wanted to check in on you." Athena said with a small smile on her face at the sight before her.

Davina paused their movie, "We're okay Mom." She smiled at her adoptive parents.

"Go to bed at a decent time please." Athena said and went to walk back to their room.

Tyler started to walk away before turning back around, "Oh and Kai, sleep in your own room." He said and turned back around walking to his room.

Jeremy stayed long enough to see Davina blush and started laughing while walking back to the room. When he got back into the room he saw a sight for sore eyes, the loves of his life laying side by side and his side of the bed waiting for him. "Well hello pretty people." He said walking to the bed.

"Come to bed please." Athena whined to him and grabbed his hand pulling him into the bed.

So sorry this took me so long to get out, but it is now and I really hope it is enjoyed. Someone please tell me that this doesn't royally suck.
