Never ending summer| COMPLETED

Road trip

Beep-Beep! Ugh! I looked at the clock 5:30 AM. I slowly got up and walked to the shower. Today was the day we left for Little Rock, Arkansas 4 1/2 hours which half the time I will be driving because only Bianca and I can drive more than 1 person without an adult. I jumped in the shower and cleaned up. I walked across the hall to my room and got dressed in a grey shirt and blue overalls with blue converse I pulled the clamp to my "Love" necklace and out it on. I walked back to the bathroom and brushed my hair since it was still a little wet it was wavy and it will dry like that. I quickly brushed my teeth and unplugged my phone and the time was 6:18. They will be here at 7:00 and Ben 6:30. I hope Aunt Annie will have lunch prepared when we get there and Uncle Jack will probably be golfing downtown. I go downstairs and pack the dog's stuff, chew toys, food, treats, leashes, and etc. At the sound of the food bag rattling Baymax runs down from my room. Baymax is a white Bolognese, so he is pretty small and is so adorable. And since Baymax made noise  Batman, our black Dobberman, heard him and came running from my parents's room. "Hi guys, ready for the drive to Arkansas," i said in a hushed tone. I checked my phone, 6:30 I walked out the front door and Ben was there. "Hey sunshine," he said and we sat on the porch watching the sunrise for a little bit. "It's beautiful," I said astounded, "I hope you don't mind but Baymax and Batman are also coming to Arkansas." "It's fine, I love those guys," Ben said as we walked in. I gave him my keys and he gave me his. He walked to the couch and turned on the TV. "Quiet my parents are asleep," I said. He turned the volume down. The front door opened and a figure came in. I looked at the tall figure taller than my dad I realized who it is, "Bruce!" I said and ran to him. Bruce is my brother who was at Georgia University and was suppose to come home around now. I ran to him and hugged him,"Hi bubby," I said. "Hey Danny," He said and messed with my hair. Ben got off the couch and shook his hand. "Hi Ben you going to visit your sister in Arkansas," Bruce asked. " Yes, sir your aunt and uncle are her neighbors so Danny and her friends's are taking my truck and I'm using Danny's car," Ben said. "Nice plan, Danny came up with it didn't she," Bruce said. "Of course she is the smartest girl in all her classes," Ben said. "I wouldn't say all of them but it's the truth so say it," I said smiling. Bruce brought in his bags, pet the dogs, and went to his room to sleep. "That was great," I said and we went to pack the dog's stuff into the bed of the truck. We walked up to my room to get my stuff and Ben looked around. He looked at the shelf and took something down,"You still have the Captain America action figure I gave you when we were 10," he said. "Of course, I still have the model of my car that you gave me when we were 15, that made me want to get the car I have now," I said smiling. He looked at my bulletin board, covered with photos of my dogs, when I was younger, all four of the girls and me, me at the beach last year with Ben's family, and the photo booth photos from the boardwalk of us. "You kept them all of the presents and pictures," he said. "Of course, Benny I love this stuff and you are one of my best friends I would never forget this stuff," I told him smiling. I grabbed my suitcase and he hugged me. "You too, Danielle," He said. He let go it was a quick hug but it meant a lot. We packed the cars with our stuff and I checked the time 6:59. Then Beth's Mom's car pulled up with all three girls in it, they got out and their stuff, and the car drove away. We grabbed their luggage and loaded it in the bed of the truck. "Hey Ben," I heard Skylar say. Great we had that great moment and she's going to ask him out. "Hey Skylar, can't talk right now I have to load the cars," Ben said. "Ok it's fine," Skylar said. "Nice shirt Beth," I said which is true it was an peach colored tank that says Boys in Books are just Better and she was carrying a journal that said something about being awesome. "Thanks, it speaks the truth I haven't found the right guy yet and my last boyfriend was a jerk," She said. "I know how you feel," Bianca said, "But I'm not inserted in boys I like books better." Which I think is a great idea since Skylar really likes Ben and I couldn't do that to a friend. "Ok, girls go to the bathroom because we are only stopping for breakfast and to get snacks and maybe go to the rest room," Ben said. I sat on the edge of the bed of the truck and Ben came up and sat next to me when they went in the house. "Hey Benny,"I said. "Sunshine... You excited?" he said. "Yea, it will be fun I hope," I said. "If anything changes, remember I'm here for you," he said. What's that suppose to mean, is he going to ask me out or Skylar or something else? "I know, Benjamin you always have," I said. "Just we are older now Danielle," he said. What's wrong we are calling each other are full names? "I get it and being older means driving and dating and other stuff but we will always be friend," I said and we held hands. Bianca walked out,"Skylar is behind me," She said. I got down and let go and walked on the other side of the truck. "Hey guys," she said as the dogs walked behind her and then Beth. "Let's load the cars," Ben said and he got in my car. "Shotgun," Beth called and she ran to the front of the truck and got in. I got in the driver's seat and Bianca got in behind me and then Skylar behind Beth. Batman and Baymax got in the car, Batman got in the middle seat in the front and laid his head in Bianca lap and laid his feet in Skylar's lap. Baymax climbed to the front and curled up on Beth's lap. "Someone call Ben and ask him if wants to stop at Starbucks for breakfast," I said. "Ok, I will, Skylar says and calls him. "He says Yes," she said. I drove to the Starbucks drive-in. "One black coffee, cotton candy frappe venti, Red velvet frappe, and a hot chocolate and four blueberry muffins,"I ordered. I drove up and paid and handed back drinks and muffins. I turned on the music and Bad Blood was playing and we all sang along. 

We stopped at a Gas station to switch spots to drive. "Sweetie you need to let me go I need to drive," Bianca said. "At least you got the better end," Skylar complained. Bianca got out and we switched spots. "Hey Batman," I said. Batman got up and walked to the front and put his head in Bianca's lap. "Batman I have to drive now got back," Bianca said and he listened. Batman put his head and my lap and I drifted off to sleep. 

I woke up by the sudden stop I asked," Are we here?" "No Bianca was speeding," Skylar said. "Don't  blame me I was going with the flow of traffic," Bianca said. The cop came up," Can I see your liscense and the insurance?" he asked. "Of course officer can I get my insurance from the glove box?" Bianca said asking nicely. "Yes m'am," the officer said. She reached over and got her license and the insurance and handed them to him. He went back to the car and checked everything and came back. "you were going 10 miles over the speed limit and I see you are almost 17  just remember to drive safe," he said, " you are not getting a ticket just don't do it again." "Yes sir," all of us say and Bianca went back to driving. We drove for another 30 minutes and I saw the gate to the woods I said," The pass code is 4 8 2 0." She punched in the numbers and the gate opened and we drove up the hill then across the lake and  up their drive way. Bianca parked the car and we were finally there after 5 hours it was 12:00 and we were hungry. "We should go in," I said. "Sure," they agreed.
